You truly have a gift for flavoring dishes so they'll be memorable.
This recipe I plan to hand down to my children. I can still taste the gentle hint of oranges. Thank you Ina for helping to make our Thanksgiving meal memorable.

Made these for thanksgiving, however baking the sweet potatoes took much longer, more like 45 min. Ended up boiling my second half in cubes (skin on and then the peel falls right off. Topped half with pecans and half with marshmallows for the traditionalists. Many rave reviews.

I made this for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it. I made it the day before which really helped with time on Thanksgiving day. I took it out about an hour early and then cooked it and it took about 25 minutes. The sweet potatoes did take about 1.5 hours to cook but I had huge potatoes. Would half this recipe for just a family dinner it was so good.

I followed the recipe but made then the day before Thanksgiving except to bake them. I took them out to come to room temperature and then baked them for 30 minutes. Everyone enjoyed them a big hit and sooo easy to make!

Made this for Thanksgiving....agree with previous review, sweet potatoes took longer to cook. However, I added a little maple syrup and used pumpkin pie spice (I figured I paid $5 for might as well use it and extra cinnamon. Instead of using heavy cream, I used 2% lactose free milk and Smart Balance (family diet restrictions. At first I thought the orange juice overpowered the sweet potatoes. I put them in a crock pot, on low for four hours...my goodness, by dinner time the orange juice blended nicely. Was a family hit!!

I made it for Thanksgiving this year and it was BAD. Cooking time is a lot longer than instructed. I didn't taste the OJ at all...maybe because the nutmeg and cinnamon were too overpowering. It was our second attempt at making sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving and we've decided not to have sweet potatoes next year...That's how bad it was. 12 lbs of sweet potatoes in the trash.

I am quite impressed. It was a hit! I am not a fan of the show, but this recipe was excellent. Very easy. The sweet potatoes need a bit more time in the oven, though.

This recipe is wonderful! Easy AND delicious. I followed it mostly by the book, had no cream so just added a dash of milk instead. I will definitely make this all year :

I made these sweet potatoes for my family who hate to try anything new and they LOVED them. I got many compliments! I will definitely make again as they are super easy to whip up!

Made this for a dinner party and it was so tasty. It was a huge hit, even with people that don't normally eat sweet potatoes. The orange juice adds a nice sweetness and citrus element. I cut the nutmeg to a half teaspoon, just personal preference, and thought it was perfect. Side dishes don't get much easier and tasty than this.
