Fine recipe. Easy, well described but need to cut the size down. 12 eggs in the eggs salad on 8 slices toast?

Very good. I used Dijon mustard instead and added some capers on top. My husband loved it!

I found the mustard to be overpowering in this dish. When I am making something with smoked salmon, I'd like for that to be the star. If I were going to make this again, I would greatly reduce the amount of mustard called for or omit altogether.

Delicious & a very classy play on breakfast standards! I've discovered using gravlax (I buy it, packaged fresh, at IKEA! as an alternative to smoked salmon. Wonderfully seasoned, and it looks beautiful. Thank you, Ina, for turning up the volume and thinking outside the box!

Next time I'll halve the amount of salt; otherwise, this is fabulous. I'm not a big fan of mustard, but, in this case, it imparts great flavor without leaving a mustardy taste. What a great idea to chop the eggs in a food processor. This is going on toasted English muffins the next time I have guests for brunch. Would be terrific accompanied by champagne!

I love egg salad (and salmon, and dill for that matter! and thought this was excellent. I really like the Barefoot Contessa recipes - I feel they're not too heavy-handed with the flavors and I love the ideas like this open-face sandwich. Never would have thought of that! Perfect party/ brunch food and I am ALWAYS throwing brunch parties!
