loved these!! my only complaint was that they were too saltly. I substituted bacon for the salmon. My brothers loved them! I may try to add mustard in place of the lemon juice like one reader suggested. I will also reduced the amount of salt in the next batch. Overall, they were the best deviled eggs that I've ever tasted :

This is really really good. A refreshing twist on an old classic. I made these for Thanksgiving and they were gobbled up, literally !

Excellent! I made these for Easter brunch and they were the first thing to go. I would recommend adding salt after you have tasted the filling. I found that my filling needed very little salt. I did not have salmon roe so I sprinkled with paprika instead. So good!

Great taste, but INCREDIBLY salty!!!!!! Too bad I didn't go with my gut feeling! at most 1/2 tsp of salt!

These were super easy to make and very tasty. I had left-over filling and spread it on a cracker and it tasted just like restaurant quality pate!

First off, I hate deviled eggs. But these changed my mind! They were a big hit at dinner party and looked very elegant. The smoked salmon is perfect in this recipe. One suggestion: use half the salt at first. Some smoked salmon that you buy at grocery stores is extremely salty. You can always add some salt later, but you can't take it out!
