A great dip base.  I added Dijon mustard, lemon zest and a couple of minced scallions.  I would have added some capers, if I had them.   item not reviewed by moderator and published
Definitely double the salmon and half the salt. Really great on "Everything" flavored Pretzel Crisps...tastes like salmon and cream cheese bagels! item not reviewed by moderator and published
This was great. I doubled the salmon. Yum! item not reviewed by moderator and published
My husband thought it was fabulous on a cracker, but he really wanted a piece of baguette (to balance as he would say). I enjoyed it with broccoli. as it was the only thing close I had to a crudite! (learned a new word today!) I believe this would be a great party pleaser. Very cheesy -- so expect it based on its ingredients, dont rate the recipe low because of it! item not reviewed by moderator and published

I've purchased many salmon dips and mousses over the years. My previous favorite is $9 for a 5 oz. container. I wanted to serve it for a party and definitely needed more than 5 oz. so it was time to make it. I chose this recipe based on ingredients and reviews and I love it!!! It's a great recipe and 100% better than any salmon dip I've ever bought even freshly made from gourmet deli's. I wondered about the amount of salmon because of the one bad review saying it lacked flavor - WHAT? Doubled the salmon and only tasted sour cream? NOT Possible - either a fake review or fake smoked salmon! It's a tasty & lively recipe. Only change I'd make is to 1/2 (or less) the salt. It was a bit too salty for me and unnecessary. It's excellent with both veggies and crackers. It was a huge hit - everyone loved it item not reviewed by moderator and published
This was amazing! Will be making again for sure with our fresh smoked Alaskan salmon! item not reviewed by moderator and published
Terrible recipe. Made it special for a New Year's party. Used twice the amount of salmon called for and still tasted like tart sour cream. No salmon flavor at all. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Delicious whether you make your own personal tweaks or strictly follow the recipe. If you are lucky enough to live in the Rocky Mountain area, try this with the peach wood smoked salmon sold at area Whole Foods there. The sweet/smokey/salty flavors are outstanding. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I brought some smoked salmon home from Alaska and have made it 3 times so far for parties. There was not a smidgen of it left in the bowl to bring home each and every time. Compliments galore. It's delicious! item not reviewed by moderator and published
Great recipe. I made it exactly as the recipe called for. My husband keep coming back for more. Will definitely make it again. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I am known as the "dip lady" because I love to make dips. I can honestly say this is the BEST dip I have ever made. I didn't change one thing and it was seriously amazing. If you like salmon you have to try this recipe. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Excellent dip. I changed a few things and it was a hit. I smoked salmon on the grill and served the dip with it on the side. I added one drained minced cucumber. I served some pita chips and veggies on the side also. I will do it again! item not reviewed by moderator and published
I use a whole can of smoked salmon and just mix it in with the rest of the ingredients. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Great and easy recipe. I opted to use Hidden Valley Ranch Dill mix--sub a tablespoon of that and it gives the recipe an extra umph!! If you love smoked salmon, you'll love this recipe. item not reviewed by moderator and published
This is excellent. I make it every time I entertain. Everyone loves it. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Very tasty, although there was a lot of cream cheese. I think it could have used some Garlic-Garlic, and some onions. Definitely could have been thinned out a little bit. Overall, fantastic dip for light snacks. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Great recipe- even my four-year-old couldn't get enough! Definitely addictive! item not reviewed by moderator and published
A great go to dip for parties or get together,Thanks Ina. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Super easy. I left out the dill at first but quickly realized that the dill completes the dish. I don't have a mixer and just mixed everything with a fork. It still turned out great. Also agreed about dry dill working just fine. item not reviewed by moderator and published
I saw this in the Food Network magazine last month and my husband told me I had to make it. We really loved it, the second time I made it, today for Christmas, it was even better! I used a 6oz cup of plain greek yogurt instead of the sour cream this made it really fluffy and light, great that way for crackers and veggies. I also used dried dill, and it worked just as good as the fresh I used the first time. I bought fresh salmon from the meat case and made it on a grill pan on the stove and then baked it a little bit, seasoned it with dill, basil, salt and pepper, and a little liquid smoke. When in the grill pan, put some butter and basted it a little bit. I can say it was just awesome. You will love it! item not reviewed by moderator and published
Easy, quick and delicious. In the winter I use dried dill since i don't want to buy a huge bunch of the fressh herb when I only need a little bit, and it works just as well. Everytime I make this, people ask me for the recipe. I serve it as a spread wtih bagel chips or party size pumpernickel bread slices. I find it a little too stiff to be used as a dip for crudites (it would need to be thinned a little with cream to be able to dip into it. If you like smoked salmon, you'll love this! dcdale item not reviewed by moderator and published
This immediately became a family favorite with the recipe being shared among all my relatives. I often substitute lime for the lemon since I tend to stock them more than lemons. It doesn't change the flavor much at all. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Very quick and easy to make, and as promised, it tasted even better the next day. item not reviewed by moderator and published
