So easy to make and so delicious. We actually prefer this with either hard smoked salmon, rather than lox, or better yet as a way to use up leftover poached or roasted salmon from the night before. If using fresh and not smoked salmon we double the amount of salmon and add a bit of ground sea salt to the recipe. We also like to add more horseradish than the recipe calls for to, as another review said, add some extra zip. This is a lovely pairing with sparkling wine before a meal and it everyone seems to love it.

For the very little prep time you get surprisingly delicious results. There is never any left whenever I prepare it for family or guests.

Woke up starving and had to have something "salmon." I had all of the ingredients on hand except smoked salmon/fresh dill. So, I used a can of salmon, added some Liquid Smoke and dried dill. It was yummy on Triscuits. The only down side was I had to brush my teeth again before falling back to sleep.

We ended up adding about 6 ounces of smoked salmon to make sure that the taste came through. Due to the saltiness of the fish, we omitted the salt altogether. Otherwise, no changes needed.
