This was an easy coffee cake, and one you can make with ingredients on hand. My cake was done in 50 minutes. People that are having trouble with the cake being dry, should start testing the cake 10 minutes before it's scheduled to be done. My husband couldn't talk until he finished his huge piece with ice cream. We wanted a snack and I thought of this at 10:00 PM Ina, this is a keeper - thank you.

I've made this many times with pecans and it is delicious! I won a blue ribbon with it at our county fair! Try baking it 55 minutes for those that had it come out dry. The full 60 would be too much.

I have made this at least 10 times over the last couple of years and it is the perfect coffee cake - i always get compliments on this - those who are complaining it is dry probably over-cooked. Cake flour does not make cake dry. I have never had that problem. better to under-cook and use extra streusel in the center.

I followed the recipe to the letter, even running to the store to get Kosher salt when I realized I didn't have any. The cake smelled wonderful and looked great but, it was so dry we could hardly swallow it. I watch the Food Network every day and Ina Garten is one of my favorites and I use a lot of her recipes but, I was concerned about the dryness of the cake.

I made this coffee cake to rave reviews. I was inspired by this cardamon coffee cake in Seattle so I added 1 tsp to the streusel and it was absolutely wonderful. I made this for a party and people couldn't stop raving or eating the cake.

THIS HAD GREAT FLAVOR----RICH & DELICIOUS. HOWEVER, I'M SURE THE CAKE FLOUR IS WHAT MADE IT VERY LIGHT & A BIT DRY, & THEREFORE I WOULDN'T MAKE THIS RECIPE AGAIN. WE PREFER A MORE MOIST AND DENSE TYPE OF COFFEE CAKE.

This cake is sooooo yummy. Mine came aout a wee-bit dry .. I don't know if it was suppose to be like that or if I just baked it to long.. but I will definitely make this one again!

This recipe is perfect, almost exactly like a sour cream coffee cake recipe I have been making for years. It is rich delicious and perfect. I never did the glaze until now, wonderful. Try it, you will love it. A suggestion, if you use non fat sour cream or margerine it will definitely not be as good, so don't bother making it. I have tried it and will never do it again.
