Really good. My only 2 changes to the sauce were I used lite Miracle whip and stoneground horseradish mustard as it was what I had on hand. (Haven't bought real mayo in years.. I also used a cheaper cut of steak. I enjoyed watching Ina's the technique...the use of the frypan vs. my broiler or the grill and the amt of time on each side (I am a baker, I NEED directions.
I prepared 5 steaks at once, sliced them as directed and put the leftovers in the fridge for gametime tonight and sandwiches for work tomorrow. These steak strips would also work for a salad topper as well.
Thank you Ina, I learn something everytime I watch.

I made my own mayo for the sauce, and it was well worth it! This sandwich was absolutely amazing, and I served it w/ sweet potato fries. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

I made this for my boyfriend and I, and we both loved it! I used a thinner/cheaper type of steak and it was still great! My boyfriend liked it with some cheese as well, but I loved it just the way it was :

I made these but i used a large loaf of ciabatta bread instead and cut it into four large sections. These were huge sandwiches, so cut the loaf into smaller sections for smaller sandwiches. I'm a horseradish lover as well so instead of using the mustard mayo I put a creamy horseradish sauce for an extra kick. It was simply to die for!

My daughter made these steak sandwiches. She made a couple adjustments: after mixing together the ingredients for the dressing we both found it tasted mostly like mayo. She added more mustard, seasoning, and some horseradish. With those changes to the dressing, this became the best sandwich I ever ate. So if you make this recipe, the only change I would suggest is to spice up the dressing a little and keep all the other ingredients exactly the same.

I have made these sandwiches time after time again and they never disappoint. I turned them into an appetizer, putting everything on a sliced, roasted, baguette. They hold up well on the baguette and easy to pop into the mouth.

I made these sandwiches for my parents and they were incredible! My mother actually said that they were one of the best things she has even eaten! I made a couple of my own alterations: I cooked a few cloves of garlic along with the onions and also added extra dijon mustard and a bit of horseradish to the sauce. These sandwiches were very easy to make and tasted AMAZING!

Ina's recipes never disappoint and this one is perfection! Easy, fast, and my husband and young boys loved it! If you don't want to have a sandwich, this is a great way to prepare a delicious steak cooked indoors. The mayo-mustard sauce does make more than you need for 4 sandwiches. Delicious on ciabatta bread as well. Ina's cookbooks are the best and the only ones I use. If you aren't already a Barefoot Contessa follower, this recipe will certainly send you on your way.

This recipe is one of my Food Network favs! I have made it several times and finally had to review it Everything here pairs perfectly and the flavors all bounce off of each other creating a flavor explosion!!! It's easy to make and easy on your budget as most of the ingredients are usually found on hand. I don't own a grill--before I learned Ina's tin foil trick I used to broil steaks--eeew. Now this is my go to preparation for steaks. Tonite I'm going to try with French bread to change it up.

This looked so good that I made it within a few days of seeing the show. OMG! My husband and I were dying while eating the sandwhiches! Unbelievable, the flavors are great, what a treat for dinner. I had tri-tip on hand and picked up ciabatta bread instead. The substitutions were delightful. I'm sure it would be great with most fresh bakery bread and your favorite cut of steak. We're both already craving it after just a few days.
