Followed recipe but added walnuts and cranberries instead of strawberries. Tastless, just tastes like flour. You may as well eat pie dough with no filling. If I'm going to get fat, it won't be from eating these.

I have been making scones for years based upon family recipes and this one knocked them all out of the park. I did add different additives - large multi colored raisons and lots of walnuts, but otherwise followed the recipe perfectly. They were wonderful. I think the key is the cold butter and the cream.
    GO INA!

Needs more sugar! Also makes a huge quantity and uses a ton of butter. I would cut in half and add a half cup of sugar if I made these again. Am a huge fan of the show, though!

This recipe is easy. The key is to find good tasting dried strawberries. I bought some from Sams Club and they are awful- no taste! The dough itself is wonderful and I am imagining all sorts of different flavors for next time: blueberry, raisin-cinnamon, orange....

I made these after watching the episode, so I did add the orange zest & walnuts. These were so delicious! Really easy to make - my first time & they came out so well. I didn't have the square pastry cutter she refers to, but I used a circle biscuit one & it worked just as well :

I used blueberries instead of strawberries and it tasted so good! The next time i am making this i would add a little more sugar than the recipe.

Tried this recipe and couldn't believe how easy it was, or how delicious! I'm a true believer that I can prepare some of these recipes and make them come out as good as the originator. Thank you Ina for making it so easy.
Family and friends begged me to make it again.......immediately!
