Whoever gave this dish a negative review is completely nutso!! This dish was so delicious! It was a bit laborious but completely worth the time in the end! I was looking for something creative to do with cabbage and love Ina's recipes. I was a bit concerned because it only had four stars. But boy am I glad I made it! Best cabbage recipe ever! The sweetness of the tomato sauce combined with the savory of the meat and cabbage is genius!

Thanks so much to people who are intelligent enough to make the recipe before reviewing. The rest of you need to find something else to do with your time. Go find someone else to be jealous of! This recipe is amazing! I am so glad Ina is generous enough to share her recipes with us.

I adore stuffed cabbage and this is without a doubt the best stuffed cabbage recipe ever. Very easy to make; almost full proof. My husband is now a convert! Having never liked anything associated with cooked cabbage he ate ever bit. Thank you Ina!

This recipe is delicious! It is just perfect.
For the people who rated this recipe without taking the time to make it. It doesn't need pork or sausage or anything else added to the ground beef!!!! The filling is moist and perfect as it is.
This is a jewish version of the recipe! Ina has done a wonderful job as always. Thanks Ina!

My coworker made these and brought them in. They were absolutely delicious! I'm not a huge fan of raisins but I felt they added a certain sweetness that might not otherwise be there.
To those people who say they prefer their mom's or grandmother's then stick to their recipes, or you can try something new and might be surprised by what you get. Or if you think something could be changed or done better then do it. Part of the fun of cooking is finding something good and making it your own.
Personally I'm going to try making these with brown rice and ground turkey instead of beef.
    But excellent as is!

I don't have many Foodnetwork Chefs that I like. Ina, however, is one of my favorites because her food is not pretentious. Ina offers you all kinds and sorts of easy to follow recipes that we can all adapt to our taste...so...if you don't like the looks of a recipe because you think your family makes it better...well...stick to what you like, but don't be rude...or better yet....why don't you share your family's recipe so we can all try it and decide for ourselves? How about that for polite democracy?
    About this recipe...
II loved it, but left the raisins out. I love, love, love raisins but not in savory dishes...It is just my thing...Thank you Ina!

Not a huge raisin fan. I skipped those and still liked the cabbage rolls. They're really easy to make and good for a large group of people. My small household couldn't finish the pot!

I'm going to bring some over to my mom's tomorrow. The only problem occurred with those on the second tier: the rice didn't cook. I'll use a pot with a larger base in order to cook them all on one layer.
