This dessert is a crowd pleaser! I have had more requests for this dessert than any other. It's fruity, light and so easy! And the rum whipped cream!!!!! I absolutely adore Ina and I love her recipes!!!

I'd seen Ina make this ages ago and finally gotten around to making it myself. I took it to work and WOW! I got RAVE reviews from everyone. They absolutely loved it. I did not put the framboise in it, and used regular whipped cream not the rum whipped cream and it was still incredibly delicious! Not too sweet, just right. One person rated it a 10 out of 5 stars! Very easy to make. Highly recommend it.

This was a very simple recipe to make. I did not use the liquor in the fruit or the whip cream. It was refreshing and tangy and rich at the same time. Brioche was a little challenge to find, but well worth the special trip.

This recipe is just the perfect summer dessert. Even people who are not fond of berries may love it.
Regular Cool Whip works just fine. I didn't have any raspberry brandy, so I used Chambord.

I can't believe someone gave this a one star because of not washing the berries!! How shallow! This is the best recipe, so good and a keeper! Thanks Ina.

This dish is just wonderful. Full 5 stars for me. I think I am going to serve this for Easter dinner desert. The lady that complained that on the show Ina didn't wash the berries needs to get a grip...this dish is wonderful had she given it a try. Loosen up lady, no wonder she didn't leave her name.

I would make this for company at any time. I put the fruit on to cook and cooked it on a simmer until I got the crust cut off of the challah bread and got it sliced. This was longer cooking than directed. By then the fruits had cooked and thickend almost to a syrup. The sweetness is perfect. Just had enough syrup to fill my pan and soak the bread. It was all perfect. Weighted the pudding with a plate and the Crisco Can and turned it out the next day. Came out easily and looked beautiful. Made whipped cream and used Framboise for the Rum. Great. Thanks Ina!

Couldn't wait to unmold this delicious cake. It came out easily, and could be decorated with berries or whipped cream to look a bit more elegant. Only problem was it didn't cut easily with a fork. I'll try smaller pieces of challah next time. The taste is worth making again!

HEY - This is a GREAT recipe and relatively easy to make!!
I made it for friends at work and around the neighborhood, they loved it, but most of them said while it tasted really good, it looked like ROAD KILL! I am thinking twice about making it again, or maybe the next time I'll top it with the whipped cream, rather than having it on the side!
