The cooking instructions take a leap of faith, as does the heavy salt crust. But my family strips the roast down to the bare bones every time I make this recipe. The salt crust is tasty but not overpowering, and the meat is cooked to a perfect medium rare every time. It makes ME look like a gourmet -- and I've always struggled with getting roasts to comeout well. Not anymore! This recipe has made me the queen of the rib roast!!! Thank you Ina!!!

This was a crowd pleasing meal, pleasing my husband, the meat lover. It was easy and delicious. I am going to try making it in the slow cooker. Thank you.

This meal was so delish! The meat was so tender and full of flavor, and the best part was the aroma filled my entire house! A little tip: cook roast with about an inch of beef stock for extra flavor and a yummy juice to spoon over your meat!!!!

Ina's approach to the Sunday Rib Roast has been followed by me on multiple occasions. The result has been a tender, juicy, and as Ina frequently says "Perfect" in every way.
It is extremely easy and very quick.

The rib roast was yummy, but the mustard horseradish sauce was just what I was looking for! I've wanted to replace my old horseradish sauce with a new one, and have been trying many, but this is the one. The mustard adds the zing it needs!

This recipe was easy to follow, and the roast turned out yummy! Made the Mustard Horseradish Sauce as well...it went perfectly with the roast! All and all the combination was a family and friend favorite, will definately do again!

liked the quickness of it, but I think it cooks at too high heat a little too long; the high heat made the outside a little overdone for my taste, but still had a nice pink middle. The accompanying sauce was easy and so good with the meat.
