I loved this recipe. I followed it exactly. I found the truffle butter at Whole Foods for around $10. Try it, you won't be let down :

Love Ina and this recipe was not bad, but to me it lacked truffle flavor. Perhaps because we had some INCREDIBLE penne with truffles a few months ago in France?! I added some truffle finishing salt at the end. But next time, I think I will searh out some truffles to shave onto the pasta.

I live near Asheville, NC. There's a store called "Fresh Market" that has wonderful produce, organic meats and veggies, fresh meat counter, great desserts, deli, specialty/gourmet items, etc. They have the pasta and truffle butter there. Look in your area for a "Fresh M,arket" chain. You'll love it. Great recipe by the way too! So creamy and what a wonderful melding of flavors. Should definately try the shrimp in the pasta dish-yum!!!

I cannot say enough good about this recipe. Super easy, super delicious. I made this on Monday...the rest of the week's meals have paled in comparison.

Thanks Ina for this simple, yet delicious meal. And thanks for introducing me to Cipriani Pasta. I was able to buy the truffle butter from D'Artagnan.com, and the pasta from pastacheese.com. My husband is still raving about this dish. I served this with fresh spring asparagus. I have never tried one of your recipes that I did not like.

This one of my new go to recipes for a special occasion. I have tried to substitute other brands of pasta but it is NOT the same. I order the Cipriani's tagliarelle online at pastacheese.com If you order 6 boxes at a time it makes the shipping worthwhile. Make sure it is the yellow box!

I served this as an entree on Valentine's Day by adding sauteed shrimp! It is also a great side dish for baked ham or any other day but it is a bit costly.

    Thank you, Ina!

I was so intrigued by this dish and wanted to make it for the holidays but couldn't find the truffle butter in my local stores. Fresh Market finally got it in February. They also had the pasta. I made it as a side dish to filet mignon and it was unbelievable. The blend of flavors were so unique. I wasn't sure if my husband would like it but he loved it. This is definitely a special occasion dish but one I will definitely keep in my favorites file. Thanks again Ina!

I made this for my Husband and me for Valentine's Day. I can't believe how good this was! We all but licked the bowls to get every drop. I used an Italian brand fettucini that I've used before that is very good. I ordered the truffle butter from a site called I gourmet.com that has several items that Ina uses in some of her other recipes. I would love to make this again but I would be afraid to because we just couldn't stop eating it until it was all gone!! Yummmmm.

We had this as an appetizer for Christmas Eve dinner - it was so delicious that our guests are still talking about it a month later. We found the truffle butter at On The Vine in Exeter, NH. Will serve this for special occasions or just to have a fabulous simple dish! Another great recipe, Ina!
