I made this last night and unfortunately the other couple cancelled. So I proceeded to make these for my husband and myself since I had already defrosted the puff pastry and cooked up the onions, etc. Since I made 4, we eash had 2 and also "roasted tomato soup". It was filling for dinner.
I followed the receipe exactly and it was fabulous. Another appetizer to add to my long list of apps. Great job Ina.
    Thanks

I made these for my daughters engagement party. I cut my pastry into 4 squares instead of circles to get the most out of my dough. Everyone loved it. I'm going to a dinner party Saturday and making them again. I love Ina's recipes. So easy and yet they look like I spent hours on them. Thanks, again for a great recipe.

We just used a baking sheet instead of cutting circles and then cut into odd triangles. I also drizzled just a bit of balsamic vinegar over the tomatoes to add a hint of sweetness (our goat cheese was a bit salty. Everyone thought this was the best "grown up pizza" they've ever tried! This is one of those recipes where it's not complicated but you must use good ingredients for the best result. We got lucky with beautiful tomatoes and it makes all the difference. I have wondered about doing this greek style and using feta, adding olives, and using some oregano on top instead of basil? Very versatile recipe. Thanks Ina!

I made this for some girlfriends that came over for a happy hour. They loved it! I made a change- instead of goat cheese, I used blue cheese, and instead of one slice of tomato, I cut grape tomatoes in half and spaced them in a circle on top.
This is so easy and looks so hard!

Wawwwwww !!!! That was great ! I made it last week for 12 people in a big rectangular pan using same techniques. It was eaten in seconds. I will make it again this weekend for 20 people. Thank you for this delicious recipe.

Simple and original! I served it as a light main course with some asparagus and it was a huge it. It looks technical when you serve it but it was so easy to make.

I made these tarts last night to serve with salmon for dinner. My husband and I loved them and they were a wonderful combination!

I made these for just my husband and me on Friday night and my hubby begged me to make them again! I ended up serving them for an appetizer for a party of 30 on Sunday! Very easy and very gourmet!

I didn't have any fresh basil so I used some store bought pesto on the pastry followed by your receipe and it was the best ever!!

I liked this very much. I did cut the pastry into four 5-1/2 inch squares so not to waste the extra sheet. Everything fit just fine and tasted delicious. I would definitely make this again.
