Fantastic flavor, but my edges were starting to burn after 8 minutes in the oven. I had to switch the dishes around a little and turn the temp down. I eliminated the butter in the mixture, as I would see how it would get too greasy. The bottom of the pancakes then started to blow up. I had to poke a fork to keep them down. I made these a second time and put the oven at 400...much better.

WOW, what a hit at my brunch. One of my guests had just returned from a trip to Paris and said "I just had one of these in Paris".
What better compliment. They are so easy and so impressive.
    Thankyou Ina

These not only taste better than pan fried pancakes, but they're a lot simpler and less time consuming. I've also heard them referred to as Amish pancakes. I find myself making them when my boyfriend and I would like breakfast but I don't have much in the pantry. I always have eggs, milk and flour tho! The first time I made them, I followed the recipe to the T, and found them to be a bit too greasy for my liking. The next time I made them, I added the butter to the gratin dishes, but did not add the melted butter to the egg/milk/flour mixture, and it still came out perfectly. Definitely a staple in my house...thank you Ina!

Gotta love Ina's parties-but where is T.R.?? I miss him! This pancake was easy and had amazing depth of flavor-also tried it with maple syrup-excellent as well. I used a glass pie plate (poured the entire amount in it with great results.

This is a wonderful and easy recipe to prepare and fancy to serve to over-night guests or brunch company. Just make sure the butter in your gratin dishes (I used non-stick cake pan rounds is hot and slightly browned before pouring the batter in. The orange infused flavor is wonderful. This is definitely a keeper. Thanks, Ina for another winner.

I love these. We have a local restaraunt that charges nearly $16 for these! We now do tehm at home. I put slices strawberry and banana and a dolop of vanilla ice cream to make it a dessert!

Chopped walnets and maple syrup works too!

Crumbled bacon and maple syrup is what I am doing on them today!
