OMG! We are totally addicted to this recipe! It sounded strange but since I had the ingredients I made it and we were fighting over who got the last little sammie! Did it exactly per the recipe and don't forget the radishes! Just copied it and took it over to a friend of mine. I did not make the hummus and it was still spectacular. Let it sit before serving like it says. Great great recipe Ina! Oh, make sure you get the good Italian tuna. We used the yellow fin from Tonno

Another five star review for this great recipe. Tuna and chick peas are one of the great combinations of flavors. Ina's tuna recipe is an excellent one. The cornichons and radish slices are a wonderful addition of brightness to the tuna and hummus. With such a great tuna recipe and a fresh baked, great quality sourdough bread, I just used a really good quality store bought hummus and my family was overjoyed with this dinner. I wouldn't have believed their reaction if I didn't see it. They went from "Oh, we're having sandwiches for dinner?" (like Mom, what's wrong with you? to my daughter literally saying, "This is the best thing I ever ate!" They already love my cooking, thanks in big part to the Food Network, so this was a real (positive shocker! I highly reccommend this really easy to prepare dinner, especially with a good bowl of soup.

I LOVE Ina's Hummus. I usually have it for lunch spread on pita chips and a small
glass of milk. Really satisfies. Where does one find cornichons?

Traditionally, I always love Ina's recipes, and give them 5 stars. This is the first recipe of her's that I've tried that didn't quite live up to the hype. Both the hummus and tuna salad ended up very lemony, so I am cutting the lemon by half to avoid that issue again. Also, I don't like having the garlic overpower the very tasty hummus, so I am only using 3 cloves this second time around.

    A keeper, but with alterations.

Finally, a hummus recipe that I like. However, I did reduce the salt & tahini (both by 50%. I think the generous amount of lemon is key. I also added extra garlic. Thanks Ina!

I was really hesitant when I first read the ingredient combination in this recipe. I was looking for a dinner that was light and fresh, though, and decided to give this a try. Ina has never let me down in the past, and this recipe is no exception.
The hummus was divine and simple to make. It goes well as a snack on its own and has replaced my previous hummus recipes. The tuna was also stellar. When these two things combined on artisanal sourdough bread, though, my world changed for the better.
The tuna (I used 3 cans of Genova Tonno in olive oil was luscious and a little fatty which was cut nicely by the bright lemon juice and garlic. The crunch of the vegetables made the texture satisfying--and the radishes added just a hint of pepper to tie the dish together.

These would be fantastic for lunch, dinner, or even entertaining (small little sandwiches for guests.

    Thanks again Ina!

I've never liked store bought hummus. This is amazing! The tuna is the best I've ever had, so flavorful and only 2 tblsp mayo. I used whole grain toast instead of sourdough to stick to my plan and I am so excited to have a healthy new lunch to go to. I am having this for lunch again tomorrow. Thanks Ina!

This was sooo good! The ingredient combonation did not sound as it would work together,
but I was actually delicious. Next time I will use the recipe for the hummus, because I purchased pre-made.

Great hummus recipe. We are from Texas and we add cumin (comino to our hummus. I know the Greeks down south do too. I hope to never buy store bought hummus again in this or future lifetimes now that I have this wonderful recipe. I do not eat tuna so I could not critique the tuna but the recipe looks great.
