Finally, a hummus recipe that I like. However, I did reduce the salt & tahini (both by 50%. I think the generous amount of lemon is key. I also added extra garlic. Thanks Ina!

I was really hesitant when I first read the ingredient combination in this recipe. I was looking for a dinner that was light and fresh, though, and decided to give this a try. Ina has never let me down in the past, and this recipe is no exception.
The hummus was divine and simple to make. It goes well as a snack on its own and has replaced my previous hummus recipes. The tuna was also stellar. When these two things combined on artisanal sourdough bread, though, my world changed for the better.
The tuna (I used 3 cans of Genova Tonno in olive oil was luscious and a little fatty which was cut nicely by the bright lemon juice and garlic. The crunch of the vegetables made the texture satisfying--and the radishes added just a hint of pepper to tie the dish together.

These would be fantastic for lunch, dinner, or even entertaining (small little sandwiches for guests.

    Thanks again Ina!

I've never liked store bought hummus. This is amazing! The tuna is the best I've ever had, so flavorful and only 2 tblsp mayo. I used whole grain toast instead of sourdough to stick to my plan and I am so excited to have a healthy new lunch to go to. I am having this for lunch again tomorrow. Thanks Ina!

This was sooo good! The ingredient combonation did not sound as it would work together,
but I was actually delicious. Next time I will use the recipe for the hummus, because I purchased pre-made.

Great hummus recipe. We are from Texas and we add cumin (comino to our hummus. I know the Greeks down south do too. I hope to never buy store bought hummus again in this or future lifetimes now that I have this wonderful recipe. I do not eat tuna so I could not critique the tuna but the recipe looks great.

Very tasty! Enjoyed this but, when making the hummus, if you are using large garlic cloves, cut back to 3 or you will be overwhelmed by the garlic flavor - 3 is more than enough.

I made the sandwiches to share with a coworker. We both loved the sandwiches. I also made some for my 81 year mother for Saturday lunch. She also loved the sandwiches. This recipe is a keeper.

I too have to admit I wondered how this was going to turn out. No need, the tuna and hummus and sourdough bread are wonderful flavors together. My husband saw me make the sandwiches, and went back to make himself another one. The only thing I used different was I used fresh lime juice, instead of lemon. Great recipe, perfect for lunch or light dinner.

OMG! I love tuna and I love hummus. I wasn't sure about them together. It was a wonderful change. I will never make tuna another way again and what an easy tasty hummus. Both the tuna and hummus got better as it sat overnight in the fridge. Great recipe
