A real crowd pleaser, healthy, inexpensive, quick and easy to make. Agree with other reviewers that you can cut in half or more the use of salt in the dressing as you are getting plenty of salt already from the seasoned stovetop Tuna and the soy sauce has plenty of salt already. That said, we added chopped butter lettuce to this and some baked/toasted artisan bread and you have a complete meal. You cold also make this a tuna salad wrap with Butter/Boston Llettuce. You spend pennies on the dollar from what you would pay for this at a top notch restaurant. Also we used key limes instead of regular limes. Bon appetit

It has large flavors and is very elegant. I have made it 2x, and a big hit each time! I have tried different recipes with tuna steaks and none have ever turned out very taste. I finally found one great recipe! thank you

I'm trying to eat more fish for health reasons and this recipe did it for me. I took note of other reviewer's posts and added a little less lime juice (b/c mine was very tart and a bit of honey (tasted it before I dressed the salad. Thanks also for the suggestion to add arugula, which I did so I could get in more vegs. Delish. I can't believe I like it so much. Thanks Ina! Another hit!

I love Ina but her recipes often call for more salt then I like. So just use common sense and add less salt. I actually didn't add any salt to the dressing.
This was SO GOOD. The flavors were ALL THERE! Don't skip or replace anything! The tobasco + soy sause+ lime juice+ wasabi+ 2xonions+ olive oil= best flavors ever!

Everything was great until I added the dressing....we were unable to eat it because it was so bitter. My mistake for not checking the dressing first. Need to put less lime juice and zest in this one. I will try it again with less lime.

I am not sure this recipe is correct (there is another Ina Garten recipe for grilled tuna rolls which essentially the same - with less salt and lime juice. There was far too much salt and lime juice in the vinaigrette. Thankfully, we tasted it before adding it to tuna. It is delicious when done with appropriate amounts of salt (to taste and lime juice (about 3 TBS.

What I would normally pay at least $15 for... only cost me a few $ to make! and so amazing.. this was so simple to make and so good! good isn't even a good enough word to describe.. I felt like I was eating something from a fancy, expensive restaurant.. I always try her recipes and never once have I been disappointed... :

This is a GREAT recipe! One of the things that I would change is the amount of onion flavor (shallots/red onion. My husband and I are not the biggest raw onion fans and the amount put into this was too overpowering for us. I would also use a tad less lime juice. Maybe my limes were just overabundant, but it was way too powerful! I will definitely be making this again! The tuna was superb! And the combination with the avocado is delicious!

This is hands down, one of the best fresh tuna salads I've had, and it was healthy too! I didn't use as much salt as the original recipe, and I served the salad over a bed of mixed baby greens. The tuna salad had enough flavor to act as a dressing for the greens. As always, Ina's recipes are the best! Long live the Queen of Food Network! :

We started off making the dressing and when we tasted that by itself we thought that we'd either messed it up or that this was going to be a disaster. But after putting everything together (I added some arugula it was great. Really delicious...
