I tried this using pork sausage instead of turkey sausage. After watching the new show "The Chew" I saw Joy Behar making what she said to be HER lasagna recipe. She said that she got a tip from Ina Garten, by not boiling the lasagna noodles. So I decided to find Ina Garten's lasagna recipe, and found this one. To my surprise, it is the EXACT same recipe as Joy's recipe. The only difference is that Joy swiped out the turkey sausage, and used pork sausage, but the recipe is written EXACTLY as this one. Right down to the amounts of garlic and tomatoes. So it was obvious to me that Joy Behar copied this exact recipe from Ina, just changed the type of sausage, didn't add the goat cheese, and claimed the recipe as her own. LMAO! What made it so funny, was that she was bragging to the audience that HER lasagna recipe was so popular, and that so many people were going on The View's website to download the recipe, that the website went down, when in reality, it is Ina's recipe, too funny!

First time I made this power went out half way thru getting the filling done. Ended up cooking it on the bbq and it STILL turned out amazing. Made it again in the oven a few months later and love it. this is a keeper.

This recipe is DELICIOUS!!! I've never made lasagna before and I served it for a gathering of friends and people went crazy over it! The only thing I will change the next time I make it (and I will make it often it to slice the mozzarella much thinner than I would expect so that I can really create thin layers of the mozzarella along with the other wonderful layers. Give this recipe a try...you will not be disappointed!!

This recipe should come with a warning...it's totally addictive! I've made it several times and it always comes out awesome. I've stopped ordering lasagna in restaurants because I know I can make it better now. DH claims to hate goat cheese, so I always hide the empty package in the garbage. He's never noticed it's there.

This was so good! This was my first time making lasagna and I will continue making this recipe! Followed the recipe exactly except I couldn't find turkey sausage at the store so I used Pork. The ingredients were a little on the pricy side but completely worth it in the end...plus there were tons of leftovers for the following day. I didn't have a problem with the amount of sauce I actually had just enough I think people have that problem because they are not using the correct size pan for the dish. I did however not have enough of the cheese spread..but I didn't notice once I was eating.. so next time I make it I probably wont make any extra. Anyways..perfect recipe! I highly reccomend it! :

Delicious & so easy to make! I love goat cheese, and the taste of it is not overpowering to the lasagna at all. Even my husband (who doesn't like goat cheese ate half the tray, haha. A nice spin on traditional Italian lasagna.......thanks Ina! :

I'm so shocked that people have given this 4 stars - this is by far the best recipe I've ever eaten. EVER! I've been to Italy and can't say I remember eating a lasagna better than this one. The goat cheese is what makes it extra special. And I agree with the other reviewers, Ina's technique of soaking the noodles is pure genius! I've made this recipe dozens of times, and I've found that my favorite way to make is as follows: with 1/2 spicy and 1/2 sweet Italian turkey sausage; and with a layer of veggies thrown in underneath the second layer of noodles, such as a pound of frozen chopped spinach or broccoli, thawed. Geez, just talking about it makes me want it, I might just have to make it for dinner tomorrow...
