LOVE IT! I add some milk to make the cheese mixture creamier.

I discovered this recipe in an attempt to find neutral ground between "my" recipe and "his." We decided to break new ground with Ina's and found "our" new lasagna. We've made this five times in the past three months, and it's turned out perfect each time. As other reviewers have noted, the goat cheese adds a subtle, velvety richness.

I had very high expectations for this recipe... and it exceeded my expectations! I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend $50 on ingredients but I am so glad I did! I substituted lean italian ground turkey for sweet turkey sausage, because that was all I could find, but otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly. I'm not a very experienced cook and in fact, this was the first time I've ever made my own sauce but the directions were still easy enough to follow. I added wine and garlic bread to make the perfect meal and I'm looking forward to the leftovers! I love Ina and her recipes!

I've had dinner parties / football parties for the past week, and made this almost every time to rave reviews ... everyone loves it! I only used the freshest ingredients, especially basil and parsley, and it turned out great. Thanks, Ina, you're the best!

This recipe couldn't have been more easy or delicious. The dish was a hit with my family and I'm sure going to make it again real soon.
It was easy to make and I think it will freeze well the next time I make it in smaller/single or double serving size pans.
    Thanks Ina!!!

I'm sorry but this was not good. I followed the directions exactly and it was a big cheesy mess. The cheese just overpowered everything and I could barely taste the meat or sauce. I love the Barefoot Contessa and every other recipe of hers that I've tried has been awesome, but this was a huge disappointment. Lasagna is my husband's favorite dish and he told me to throw out this recipe. If you are a big cheese lover then this recipe is for you.

Am going to try this for company dinner and would like to make it ahead of time and freeze it. Has anyone tried freezing it?

Okay, I love everything Ina does, so the fact that this didn't turn out means I probably didn't make it right. I did everything as stated in the recipe, but the meat didn't brown when nestled in between the still moist onions, and therefore just leached gross sausage fat into the tomato sauce. I would suggest switching some thing up: brown the sausage first, then remove and drain, and then cook the onions separately. That way, the pan is never crowded and everything would caramelize nicely. Everything except for the sausage-tomato mixture turned out perfectly.

Very rich, very tasty. I'm such a popular, wonderful cook whenever I make this dish. Things I've done differently: used ground turkey (with salt, pepper, oregano, garlic and probably something else I can't recall now in place of turkey sausage and left out the goat cheese. This recipe is not cheap, but it's a definite keeper
