This recipe was the next best thing to ascending to heaven in the rapture. I'm not kidding. I can't stop eating it. The only thing i did differently was scale it to two lbs ground turkey (fit nicely in a 9" loaf pan and used 1/2 cup onion. Also, a previous reviewer said she made her own meatloaf topping with ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire and brown sugar, so I followed her lead.
It is ridiculous how is good it is. Its moist and flavorful. Last night i had a leftover slice. With that delicious sweet sauce, and a sprinkle of salty shredded cheddar.... I have found my last meal if i am ever on death row.

Also, I put my version into MFP, and 1/8 of my 2 lb version before sauce came out to just shy of 300 calories. This 5 lb version must be at least twice that if divided into 8-10 servings.

This was my first turkey meatloaf. I halved the recipe and it was still enough for leftovers for the next day. It was moist and delicious!

Very good BUT I have found out with all Ina's recipes that I cut the salt by half even using Kosher salt! She likes food very salty and when using lemon zest very tart, it is just her palate. So I always cut the salt and zest! I love her recipe's and show!!! Her books are great!

My grandson will stress you out on trying to find something that he will eat and did I hit a home run with this !!!! I did check all of the recipes and made some very minor changes or additions. I did use garlic croutons and added just a little garlic, cut back a great deal on the onions , and grated some celery, green peppers, and carrots( if he can't see it , he might eat eat it --plus some thought the recipe was bland, did not want to take a chance so I added those items. Also thanks to another viewer, I had the exact measurements for 1.5 pounds of turkey. I was almost in tears when he asked for seconds and ate it all. What a hit ! Thank you Ina !

I made one batch for an off-shore boating trip with the intent of freezing it so we can thaw and heat it while underway -- even in rough seas. Of course I had to taste it. Was so good I made a second batch for the trip. Will soon make a third batch for our at-home freezer!!!

No doubt I will make this turkey meatloaf again, I found it to be savory and loved each bite. Today I will have the cold loaf for sandwiches and am looking forward to my lunch. Way to go Ina

I halved the recipe and still had leftovers to freeze. I also added some garlic powder as another reviewer mentioned. Very tasty and oh so moist which is part of the reason it gets 5 stars from me. I've never successfully made turkey meatloaf without it being dry. I was tempted to leave out the breadcrumbs but the raw mixture really needed them to bring it together so I added them at the last minute. Cooked to exactly 180 and boy was it still moist.

I'm not crazy about ketchup on my meatloaf but I put it on anyway so it wouldn't crack. I think I will try this next time with Alton's meatloaf glaze.
