This was delicious! Maybe a little watery, but still good.

I love zucchini! but did not like this dish. After reading the rave reviews, the first time I decided to try this. I thought perhaps my taste buds were just off, so I tried it a second time and still a no go and I followed the recipe as is. My guests did enjoy it and they wanted to take a doggie bag and I sure was glad to rid of it.

This was really good; however, it was a bit too liquidy when I made it. Perhaps it was just too much butter...some of the reviews suggest cutting back on the butter...and I'd suggest the same thing. My boyfriend loved it, I liked it. I would make it again with less butter.

So good. I find that you can cut down the butter quite a bit. I use only 2 tablespoons of earth balance. My husband even eats this and he does not, I repeat not eat vegetables.

I was expecting something fabulous after reading all of the raving reviews. What I got was something kind of bland. There was plenty of crunch on top using panko bread crumbs instead but something was missing in the flavor department. I think adding a little fresh thyme with the nutmeg would make a world of difference.

Very good! I made the recipe using freshly grated parm and romano as that is what I had on hand. I used 2 squash and 2 zucchini from the garden and seasoned panko for the bread crumbs. I served it with panko breaded pork chops and a salad. My Mom and boyfriend both loved it and took leftovers home with them. I was not sure about the nutmeg, but it works, don't skip it. This is lighter than other gratins I have had and I like that. It seemed like alot of liquid as I was cooking veggies and I was tempted to drain it but I am glad I didn't. I will definately make this again!

I don't know what I did wrong. I usually love Ina's recipes. I think part of the reason was that I used canned bread crumbs, but I did everything else exactly as the recipe called for. It just wasn't as good as I expected it to be based on the reviews .
