It would have been better with a different cheese. I have never tried this cheese before and it sort of smells bad and left a 'not so good ' taste. The rest of the recipe was good and tasted great.

What a delicious way to enjoy zucchini. Ina has done it again--Bravo! I served this to some extended family who are noted to dislike vegetables and even they loved this dish. My kids couldn't get enough either. This is a new family favorite!

Great recipe for zucchini and very easy to make. Didn't have any Gruyere, so I substituted freshly grated Parmesan Cheese instead. Made 1/3 batch, since it was just for the 2 of us.

Absolutely delicious. Even my husband loved it, and he is very picky. Great Job Ina!

I found I needed to make a lot of revisions to make this dish turn out right. I used less onions and milk. More zucchini, cheese and flour. It just came out too soupy when I made it the way the recipe was written.

I made this as a side dish for a pork roast I cooked that same night. I substituted Swiss cheese for the Guyere(maybe next time-it was expensive, only used 1 onion (that was plenty! and only used half of the butter with the addition of a turn of EVOO in the pan to saute. We could not get enough of this one! I planned to serve the small amount of left overs the next night but DH had already eaten them :

Everyone enjoyed this side dish! The onions mild and the zucchini was yummy and tender. I highly recommend this dish.
