I made this as a side for Thanksgiving dinner. It stole the show! Easy and foolproof. Try it!

I have now made this 3 times and have found that by adding a medium bodied red wine (about 1/2 cup to the sautee, there is no need for gruyere which can be expensive. An american cheddar is perfect. By adding the wine you simulate the same richness....i think it's even more delicious. Also, I've found that you can cut your zucchini sautee time down by 5 minutes to prevent mushiness. All in all, this is a wonderful cold weather vegetable dish.

Even though I'm not an onion fan, I love them in this recipe. This is so easy but will impress even the toughest critic.

Flavor is among us. I added a zip of garlic only because I am a fan. I will make this again. Company, family, I can alternate this for whatever and this is a good brought together dish. I did go step by step. Hot milk and all.My family love this.

This recipe is wonderful. I made the mistake of cooking the zucchini too long however. Need to be careful so that it does not get soggy. Ina is right: Cook it until it is tender - if not before.
