Enjoyed making this and the result is worth it. I feel that making fresh bread crumbs is a must---put mine in the mini food processor. Wasn't able to find gruyere at market so substituted jarlsberg w/some romano grated. I did cut back on the amt. of butter.

My family liked this dish, I felt it was missing something although I did love the cheese.

I normally love Ina's recipes. This one wasn't bad...it was just okay. It wasn't hard to prepare but it was a little time consuming for something that didn't taste fabulous. On the plus side it made a large amount that can be re-heated as leftovers.

I liked this recipe but I added sliced potatoes since I am not big on zucchini and it was very good.

This was a great dish and even better the next day but I think next time I will try it wil baby portobello mushrooms instead of all onions. It goes a long way an real easy to make.

I made this as a side dish to a seasoned pork roast I prepared. I was WONDERFUL! Some helpful hints-I used Swiss instead of Gruyere(cost effective,1 lrg onion (that was plenty and only 1/2 the butter called for with one turn of EVOO to make up for it. It was crunchy and delicious! Wanted to serve it for dinner the next night however my DH ate the leftovers as a midnight snack~thanks ina!

I really like this dish - however - I think the nest time I make it, I will saute the zucchini for a shorter time - it was a bit mushy.

I made this with yellow squash and zucchini because they didn't have enough zucchini's for what the recipe called for. It turned out great, and added a variation of color. Delicious and something different than your typical veggie side.
