Made this last night and I can't wait to make it again! Unbelievable flavor! Used panko instead of bread crumbs, amazing!

One of the best veggie dishes I've ever made. I prepared this recipe exactly as written and found it perfectly seasoned. Perhaps the reviewers who thought it too salty were using table salt vs. kosher? I'd give this 10 stars if I allowed!

I'm not sure why so many thought it was too salty. My family thought it could use even more salt. The Zucchini makes a lot of liquid, so a lot of salt is needed. Maybe because I salted it before the recipe says to. I salted after adding the zucchini into the skillet. I noticed that it is supposed to go in after it's cooked, right before putting it in the pan to bake. It was still really good. Zucchini takes on the flavor of what it's paired with, so the dish is a sweet onion-y flavored dish, with the sharpness of the gruyere mixed in. We served it with baked pork chops and hash brown potatoes. Makes a great side-dish.

This was the best zucchini dish I ever had. It was so easy & incredibly delicious. My nephew who isn't keen on veggies, gobbled it up & asked that I make it again. I'm gonna bring to Thanksgiving. It is awesome!

My hubby and kids are not big zucchini fans so I thought this recipe might change their minds. Unfortunately I should have read the reviews first because their was way too much onion and the zucchini came out too mushy. I also thought it could use a little more flavor. Overall - I thought it was a good recipe - just not great.

This is one of the best recipes I have ever made from Food Network...delicious as a side dish or the main event with some crusty bread!!! Plan on playing with it for different versions.

Just took my first taste of my take on this recipe...and I'm very pleased. Grilled my zucchini vs sauteed. Added some sliced sweet potato to the onions, a bit more milk for the sauce and layered everything. Can't wait to pull it out of the freezer in November and enjoy our bumper-crop of zucchini while the snow flies. This is definitely a recipe I will continue to tweek, with thanks to the original.
