so good...i added extra cream, and left pieces of the dark green part of the leek and some chunks of zucchini/potato for texture...

I thought it was great! It was easier than I thought it would be. I only had a blender and would have liked more texture but it was yummy. Reminded me of a potato soup with a little veggie in it. I halved it and only used 1 bunch of leeks and thought it was plenty.

A wonderful soup! Since I didn't have a food mill handy, I peeled the potatoes and zucchini and then put everything in the blender and it turned out perfectly. I prefer to add more cream than he recipe calls for so I used fat-free half-and-half. Everyone at the dinner party raved about the soup.

Very nice! We like meat, so after we pureed it, I added some nice chunks of ham. It is delicious

This is five star but some reason food network won't accept my extra star! Used exact ingredients, followed the steps except I processed the soup in my pot using the hand mixer. Wow, I've never had cool soup. What an incredible taste. The flavors mingled even better the next day! This is a keeper! I've become enraptured with french cooking. Thanks Ina!

Feeding a small number of people I have to reduce the quantities. I've made it three times and it's been a bit different each time because of the quantities. Basically, I've tried to cut everything by half. It's been good each time, though. Thanks Ina.

This is a great recipe. It came together quickly -- the most time consuming part was cleaning the leeks, which only took a few minutes. My whole family loved it, even my six year old. I used the food processor instead of the food mill, but still god a great consistency with some chunks of potatoes.

I will definitely make this again.

This is delicious soup. I just used chicken bouillon cubes and boiling water to make the chicken stock as a short cut. I like to do that instead of using canned broths, because you can adjust the chicken stock to your liking. Canned broths can sometimes be too watery and flavorless. I know that the kids are going to like this, and they'll be getting their veggies too! Can't wait to serve this for dinner tonight. Truly elegant and first class. I would expect nothing less from Ina!

it was inedible. I snatched it up from my husband's place immediately upon lifting my spoon & got something else in order toute suite --- but something tells me it wasn't Ina's recipe.

I suspect that the chicken broth I used - which will never again darken my door & whose sponsor wildly popular chain store I'm gradually debunking & won't use again (a 5-year phenomenon, I think - was the culprit. Dark brown with a strong off-taste that has nothing to do with chicken...Traitor WHO's???

I'll give this another try because I respect Ina Garten so much --- it had to be me & my ingredients...
