I just made this tonight and was quite pleased with how it turned out. The flavors came together nicely and it smelled delicious while cooking. My kids loved it! I took the advice of some reviewers and I omitted the ketchup and worcestershire sauce--trust me, this dish doesn't need it and I think it would only muddle the flavors if u add it. There's lots of chopping so next time I think I'll do all the prep work the night before.

I've never made arroz con pollo before. This recipe was simple and so delicious. I am making it for the second time right now!

This dish looked so good to me. I loved all the ingredients but too much rice. The recipe was disappointing and I have lots left!

I am from puerto rico, this is not the way we make chicken with rice. The receipe never calls for worcestershire sauce, ketchup or butter. his recipe has been ruinned. It is ok to change a recipe, but please don't called it arroz con pollo. You need to rename the dish. I would never try this recipe, not with does ingredients. Latino people knows this. Good luck next time! RF

If someone is going to alter a traditional reciepe, please rename the dish according to the EXTRA crap that is put in it and not ruin it's reputaion.
Thanks,
S.B.

A lot of prep work but once it was done, it all came together really fast. Great smells and colors, the sofrito veggie mix is gorgeous, reminds me of Christmas colors. However, the ketchup got added. Covered over all of the amazing smells that were going on. When I finally got to eat this dish, 4 hours after starting, all I could taste was ketchup. I am going to try this one more time and use a small can of crushed tomatoes and a teaspoon of sugar in place of the cup of ketchup. I'll let you know how it goes.

Great recipe! Some steps to it, but simple! I made it for a weekly workshop I run and everyone absolutely loved the flavor. I actually followed it exactly and it was delicious! Everyone in my workshop asked for the recipe and I am definitely sharing it and making it again. Thank you!
