We have a WINNER!!!! What a great recipe, I love that you can make it your own using whatever you have already in your pantry. My mom just asked me for the recipe ;

This was a crowd-pleaser! Since I have young children who have sensitive mouths, I cut back the chipotles a little & they DEVOURED the whole batch! The next time I made this, I had to double the recipe! The cornbread topping adds a nice cooling agent to the little bit of spice this recipe has. But DON'T OMIT the chipotles!!! This recipe get made over & over again in our house!!! :

Super easy recipe to make. I was actually surprised how quickly it went together. I loved the flavor... this one packs some heat (must be the chipotle peppers... LOL.... It was too spicy for my 93 year old Grandmother, but definitely I will make this again when I have a heat friendly audience!

This made me become a big fan of yours. You are now my favorite T.V. food personality. You don't over talk you stay so beautiful and you give simple instructions.
This pie is crazy delisosio, the first time i made it i subtitude with ground beef. It disapeared the same day. My daughters are Veggie only, so I also tried it with tofu and again with eggplant instead of turkey, both where love and devoure. For me original is best. Thank you. Why are you not on T.V. more? I need you, beso hermosa

I'm really not sure why a user would mark this as having unclear directions. I follow the recipe exactly, and it as turned out perfectly every time. I have had this in rotation for a few years now because my husband likes it so much. It really is delicious, and I like the way the sweet cornbread topping contrasts the savory, spicy filling. I have used Jiffy cornbread mix because I like the sweet, but I have also made my own (like the Neeley's honey cornbread muffin recipe and both were scrumptious!

WONDERFUL! I use a couple of minced Serrano chili peppers. And if the cornbread topping is too sweet, mix it with chicken broth instead of milk! Thanks Ingrid.

I've made this 2 or 3 times, never any leftovers. I'm writing this review now because DH asked for it again, and I panicked when I couldn't find the recipe, couldn't remember where I'd gotten it. Whew! Only change I make is more cilantro (no such thing as too much!, black beans, and once used ground sirloin. NUMMY!!
