Was thawing out turkey meat when I saw Ingrid making this dish. I didn't have pinto beans so I used white northern beans and one red and yellow bell pepper and dry cilantro instead because I didn't have all the right ingred. I had everything else right though. My husband and I love spicy and I will serve this to him when he gets home from work. I couldn't wait to try it and went back for seconds. It has a lot of flavor Can't wait to make it again with the pinto beans, green pepper and fresh cilantro. Way to go Ingrid.

First of all I can't believe that person would actually comment on a recipe that they have never made! Who does that? Second, this was made for a sailing trip which is clearly a casual event. I guess your friends are too good for a casual meal? But, you'll order Mexican food that you have no clue what crap they put in it?

Anyway, for the sane people, I made this tonight and it was great. I chose a whole grain corn muffin mix to make it healthier than it already was and it turned out perfect. Not that you would notice that it was "healthy" I don't want to scare anyone from trying it. Very spicy and flavorful, we put some sour cream with it and if I had avocado that would have been perfect with it too. I suggest that you leave the negative comments behind and give this recipe a try. The ingredient list speaks for itself.

The dish was simple to make and quite good. Do not make this if you dont like spicy food though, as it has a bit of heat. Im not a huge fan of Ingrid so far though, but hopefully next week she will impress me more.

I found this recipe easy to make and very delicious! The only change I made was that I used a whole can (14.6 oz of petite diced tomatos. My husban and I loved it and was fairly inexpensive to make also!

This meal was amazing but is definitely not for people with weak stomachs or acid reflux disease. It had a very powerful kick but the cornbread helped to cool it down.

A Latin flavor, quick and easy for the at home cook. My husband really enjoyed it! Thanks!

Why are you rating a recipe you have not even tried? Just because it does not sound up to your standards does not mean it is not good. Be fair to this women and try it first and then rate it.

I will be trying it this week and let you know.

Thanks Ingrid for a very interesting and enjoyable show! I look forward to many more from you!!

I rated it a 5. It is very similar to a tamale bake that I make that always gets rave reviews, but I think the addition of the chipoltes and chipolte sauce will make it even better. Anonymous should try the dish before giving a low rating. You won't know how good this is until you make it.

I live in Miami and have been waiting to see this show. I am not latino, but love latino food! I am having a dinner party tonight and let's just say this meal doesn't meausure up to what I would serve guests, so I'm going to order something for delivery instead - maybe Mexican.
