This is not a recipe you need to be shown how to make. It's a way to use up leftover rice and herbs. Big deal? And by and by, who serves up leftovers on a romantic date meal?

I cooked the recipe last night. I didnt overcook it, just let the top get a little brown and crispy. The rice was good. I made sure to use fresh cilantro and parsley. I served it with broiled salmon covered with cracked pepper, sliced onions and sliced lemons.

The rice was the light and fun which complemented the salmon.

    Green Rice
Puree package of frozen spinach (thawed, 1 cup each of flat leaf parsley & cilantro.

Heat 1 Tbsp. of oil and add 2 cups brown/white rice. Cook 2 minutes. Add Puree mixture and 2 1/2 cups chicken broth or water. Bring to boil then lower heat and simmer until all liquid is gone - about 20 minutes. Top with toasted pine nuts!

ha ha ha...add a little lime if you want and YUM...this is better than delicioso!

It was very good. I think next time I'll add some breadcrumbs on top along with the parmesan cheese. I'll also mix some of the parmesan cheese with the rice. You just have to watch the broiler because it cooks very fast.

If you have leftover rice, make fried rice or eat it plain. Do not waste your time, better throw the rice away than wasting time in this mess.

I am relating some of these reviewers to a recipe of Rachael Rays which my husband and I loved. Many negatives also signed Anonymous. My rule is if you cannot sign your name then I will not read it. I saw this recipe and chef for the first time yesterday. Looked like a good way for left over rice. I am sure it will be tasty.

If this is a cooking show there is hope for every ape in Africa. I never thought I'd say it but Sandra Lee is starting to look like a real cook.

This was a good recipe for leftover rice. It was very tasty. It probably would have been even better if I had used fresh cilantro, instead of dried.

I can't believe some of these negative reviews. For the Recipe Food Police reviewer....It's called common sense & common courtesy.
