I made this recipe and the lemon flavor was too much! I will try making this recipe again with less lemon juice.

The lemon flavor in this recipe was overpowering and the dish lacked color.

This recipe is very easy to do. Fresh flavors and it tastes wonderfully. We added less lemons than asked for and it worked out really well. We recommend meier lemons because they are less acidic and the chicken won't get bitter.
We will absolutely repeat this recipe again. It is a keeper.

I made this limon chicken when the show first aired on food network. I love lemon chicken anyway, couldn't wait to try it, fixed and it was delicous. I gradualy add juice to tatse cause of tartness and it was still pleasing. I am native american and love latin food period...so having Ingrid on foodnetwork to introduce her style of latin cooking and the love that she puts into her food makes me want to try all her recipes. (The snowball potatoes were delicous and try the brandied shrimp..its a keeper. I agree with previous reviews, keep the negative out and be more mature towards the rate & review. Comments are for the recipes not toward the person who makes them. Food network is more professinal than that. Have respect. I love how Ingrid is bringing her latin flavor to the show. She can't help that she is beautiful and a very talented lady. Her personality will keep all watching. Hey...i get exicted when i cook and eat too. I love FOOD, love to COOK and love the FOOD NETWORK. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!

My family enjoyed this recipe very much.Good contrasting flavors iwth the salad and potatoes.
I did however, use only two tablespoons of oil since we are very fat concious. We enjoy the flavor of lemon with chicken but once again, I sliced the lemons and carmelized them them with the chicken, added only 1/2 cup of lemon juice and it was perfect to our taste. Lemon is one of those things one has to use to taste. I ate the whole lemon slices that I carmelized but only one other family member enjoys them this way. Overall the sweet from the jicama and mango was a wonderful play off on the lemon flavor of the chicken.

Maybe I missed something but this recipe lacked balance. Way too much lemon. I thought it would make a thicker sauce but it did not. I would not make this again.
