I made this meal the other night it was a hot humid day. Well this chicken was so refreshing the flavors blended nicely. The only thing I didn't have was that pepper and it was still great!A hit with the familia.
I read the other readers review unless you have never been in the kitchen before use some common sense. Adjust the oil to you see fit to saute you do not need a lot of oil but to make fried chicken you do. This was not fried chicken. Good Job Ingrid. Great show but don't like a show you need to got to special markets to buy certain ingredients. That part is not simple.

This recipe was too much work for what you got. I followed the recipe (cutting back on some of the lemon juice and the chicken was overcooked -- I'll take the blame for that, although I cooked to the minimum in the recipe. The food was just bland. I would have rather sauteed the chicken in some white wine and garlic.

I did not write down the exact measurements stated on the show, so when I prepared the recipe, I sauted the chicken in a small amount of olive oil. I used 2 lbs of chicken & 3 onions, so the cup of lemon juice (I used reconstituted was just right. I could not find the peppers, so I just added some crushed red pepper & cajun seasoning. I also added sliced zucchini. I served it with linguini.
It was moist, tender & my guests raved about the lemon & spice flavor. So glad I did not follow the exact recipe, but will definitely prepare again!

I was not able to find Aji chile so I used a jalepeno chile, used less oil and lime. I thought it had lots of flavor the chicken was very moist. This is a recipe I will keep, oh and very easy. I loke Ingrid!

This was excellent! I love strong flavors and this didn't disappoint. I made black beans and rice to accompany it and they went wonderfully together. Thank you!

With just a little adjustment this recipe is definitely a keeper. As many have said I used a lot less oil and about half of the lemon juice. '
    Very easy and good.

This was atrocious with no balance in flavors. The lemon was just too overpowering for the chicken and onions. I've always enjoyed lemon chicken done the greek way, but this version is not very good. Plus it was too greasy. Just a note on this new show....its a Rachael Ray a la Charro. It needs to be toned down because it seems like at any moment Ingrid will yell out "hoochie coochie" and start jiggling to the salsa background music. As intriguing as latin cuisine is to me, I think a more experienced chef would be appropriate for this show.

I tried this recipe and was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was super moist, the lemon flavor was present but not overwhelming and me and my husband really liked it. The onions were sweet and carmalized and were perfect as a sauce/topping for the chicken breasts.
