Not one single member of the family liked it. The bad things is that we are Jamaican and love plantain.

I tried it too and it was fabulous! I used vegetable oil instead of olive oil just cause it was what I had in the cabinet and at the end, after using my immersion blender to blend, I added a 1/2 cup more chix broth. Delish!!!

This is a staple in our house. It's a wonderful, warm, wintery soup. I absolutely crave it when I'm staying in on a cold night.

I absolutely love this soup, exactly how the recipe is, and the cilantro is the best part!

made it how it was told to. Didn't measure cumin or the onions & carrots. Sliced the plantains and cilontro in chuncks. Was great. Maybe add other spices to add to the flavor.

I have made this recipe numerous times over the past year and it is favorite of friends and family. The flavors pop in your mouth and yet it is smooth and comforting any season of the year. I follow this recipe as it is written, but I have been known to garnish with avacado and/or a dallop of sour cream. It really is simply delicioso either way.

We attended a Cuban dinner the other night for Fidel Castro's birthday. The hosts did an amazing spread of Cuban food, decor, dress, drink and FUN! This was the second course of their dinner, and I fell in love with it. Perfectly refreshing and satisfying. Fabulouso!

Hola Ingrid, just wanted to say that this recipe was a hit at my home. My husband absolutely loved it and so did I. We're both from Ecuador and we have a similar recipe that's done at the coast of the country typically. I'm definitely making this dish one of our favorites and will make it frequently. En verdad que estuvo muy delicioso, felicidades por tu programa.... Viva Colombia!!!
