I made this for a coffee gathering after church. Served it cut into individual pieces and added a pear to each piece with a drizzle of chocolate. It was perfect with coffee!! Thanks Therry for telling me about the recipe and thank you Jamie for all your great work!.

I made this into individual servings - 6 huge dollops of meringue with all the fixings. My dinner guests nearly fell off their chairs when I brought it out. They may not remember the entree but 3 months later are still talking about the dessert.

I applaud Jamie's continuing efforts at better nutrition for American children. This recipe is a regular go-to for me for company - today I'm using toasted cashews and blueberries - they're what I have. I always have semi-sweet chocolate pieces, and I always add the ginger for that special "je ne sais qu'a" spicy quality. This is a sure-fire winner and I'm grateful to Jamie for the recipe and his phenomenal understanding of the value of good fresh ingredients

I've made this a few times varying different aspects. I love the melted chocolate with the ginger and orange. The pears Jamie used on the TV show looked great, but I couldn't find anything like it, so I poached some pears in syrup and cut them up. It's also great with a variety of fresh berries. If you use only strawberries, it's similar to boccone dolce and much easier to serve.

I prepared this exactly as the recipe was written, and it turned out perfectly. Absolutely delicious and wonderful to look at too. Pay no mind to M from PA; for someone who puts other people down for their English skills, you'd think he might know there is no such word as incomprehendable; it's incomprehensible.

first of all, the recipe is delicious! another variation is lemon curd with the whipped cream topping..

British English is understandable. However, his mouth is so full of marbles and fast talking makes him completely incomprehendable. Waste of time to watch. Why is he still on the air.

Very easy but decadent! I used blackberries which with half I reduced with a little sugar and water into a syrup. You can easily use any fruit combination. Just keep in mind when adding sugar to you whipped cream, the merinque is very sweet.

Very easy to make. I used pistachios instead of hazelnuts.
    I was hoping for leftovers!!!
I would definitely make it again but with berries instead.

I saw this on a Jamie At Home episode awhile back and finally made it today. I decided to take a different route with the topping using shaved mango that I coiled and weaved around. I randomly sprinkled blueberries and bits of kiwi, finishing off with a nice light drizzle of honey. The meringue was so incredible and the whipped cream on it a dream. The colors super eye-popping. The man is a the best thing in food right now! I can't way to do the recipe exactly as he said...and try a million other variations in the future. An eternal keeper!
