My husband and I love the Charred Corn Salad! I had most of the ingredients needed and decided to make it for dinner. The one ingredient I was out of was the black beans, so I substituted lentils instead, which were delicious. We love black beans, so I will use them in the future for this recipe. My husband, daughter-in-law, and I love Jamie's show. Most cooking shows talk about the importance of eating together as a family, Jamie's show touches our hearts by sharing his family meals together and the importance of them with us. I know Jamie's example will inspire a lot of dads to do even more for their families to keep them happy and healthy!

This was very simple to make & full of flavor! I made it during the heatwave last week & left out the rice to keep it even lighter. I adjusted the vinagerette so there wouldn't be too much & it was a hit!

We love this recipe and have made it several times in the last few weeks. I also forwarded it to a friend and she loved it also. I up the rice from 1 cup to 4 because I'm not a huge bean lover and then just up some of the other ingrediants. It is colorful, yummy and good for you.

This recipe was so easy to prepare! I was a little worried about charring the corn, but had no problem! The flavors together are incredibly fresh. This is one of my new favorite recipes! Thanks for sharing Jamie!

Absolutely refreshing! We already had a starch to go with dinner, so I left out the rice and added a chopped cucumber. We didn't have red onion or green onion, so I just added a quarter of a vidalia onion chopped. The lime juice was the perfect amount where it wasn't too "limey". A new staple in our household!

Great recipe!! The charred fresh corn makes this dish different and takes it over the top. I knew I would like this salad, but I took it to a BBQ where there were going to be some very picky eaters, I was nervous. Guess what--they loved it! I was surprised and delighted! Other reviewer suggestions as to additions, i.e. fresh chopped cilantro or parsley, jalepenos, goat cheese, etc. sound like great additions to an already fanastic recipe. I know for sure I will be making this one again.
