This recipe is THE BOMB!! Was looking for a new chili recipe and came across this one, which is my first Jamie Deen recipe. I was unsure about the beer so I poured in a Guinness. And I added a chopped jalapeno, a dash of smoked paprika and some cayenne pepper for a little more kick, but followed the rest of the recipe to a T. The end consistency was more liquid-y than the other recipes I've tried, but my goodness - it tastes the BEST!
And it's super easy to make. And it makes A LOT.
I will be using this recipe from now on and will tell everyone it's Jamie Deen's chili! Thank you!

Hands down the best chili I have ever had (sorry Grandma! To keep with family recipe, I substitued tomato sauce for the 28oz can of diced. I was also hesitant to use sausage, but it was a great addition. We like it spicy so I added some cayenne and a jalepeno. Crumble in some corn bread and comfort in a bowl!

AWESOME recipe. I have been wanting to make chili for so many years, but I was so intimidated by the LONG list of ingredients. Taking a look at Jamie's recipe, I felt adventurous enough to try it out. It turned out WONDERFUL. It was easy to make and tasted delicious. This one is a keeper, it's going into my recipe binder! LOVE IT!

A good recipe to start with. Definitely needed to add salt to it. Also thought it could use a little more "punch" so next time I am going to use fire roasted tomatoes for the 14 oz size. Probably some cayenne too. Love all the beans and the beer gives it a good taste.
