These are truly wonderful. My ex-Mother in Law makes a similar cookie. I lost the recipe, I think this is it. My Son loves these

I've been looking a long time for the perfect ginger cookie. This is it!! Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Even the next day the cookies are chewy, if they last that long. Just make sure you don't over bake them. The longer they bake, the crisper they become. They don't last long in my house.

These were SO yummy! We made them as part of our yearly tradition to take cookies to the local firemen as a thank you for their service throughout the year. We kept sneaking samples and had to make another batch. We've made, I think, 3 more batches since then. Definitely a keeper and a new family favorite. Made exactly according to instructions and they were perfect. My favorite is to eat them with a cup of tea. Thanks, Jamie!

I love the taste - my husband and I couldn't stop eating them. But mine didn't crinkle?? It was raining here - should I have baked longer or at a hotter temperature? I would appreciate any suggestions

Jamie hit this one out of the ball park, they are SO very good, and really easy. A big hit that I will make again & again.

I made these cookies two nights ago and they are fantastic!! These are now one of my "go-to" cookie recipes. I'm going to bake another batch tomorrow.

YUM! I love that this recipe is soft & chewy on the inside, with the crunch of the turbinado sugar... Delish! I made the recipe exactly as written, but just dipped the tops of the cookie balls into the sugar as others suggested. Very easy to make, as well!

Can't wait to share them, this recipe is definitely a keeper!

I followed the recipe exactly. They came out flat (maybe because it was a rainy day, and used old baking soda. I still gave them 5 stars because they were delicious. Chewy, crunchy, soft. I ran out of turbinado sugar so rolled the last six in regular sugar(less crunchy but just as good. I must have made them too big as I only got 36. I think the suggestion to just dip the top half in the turbinado is a good idea as they are pretty sweet.
