    These were AWESOME!!!!

I wasn't going to make cookies this year, but this recipe changed my mind!

Delicious, everyone is going to love them.

Made my house smell so good when they were baking.

Perfect with milk, tea or coffee!

Try them, you won't be sorry.

Love your show Jamie, Home for Dinner!

Just brought three batches of these cookies to work and they disappeared in NO time. Absolutely fantastic recipe, very easy to make and absolutely great flavor.
Will be making these all the time.

The first batch I made I was a little intimidated by the spices since I am the only one in the house who likes cloves so I omitted cloves from the recipe. BIG MISTAKE. Everyone said they were good but missing something. Follow the directions please! The cookies are bland without the small amount of cloves called for. I made a second batch and wow! These are scrumptious. I made another double batch for school Christmas parties. Positively yummy!

These are wonderful ginger cookies. Much better than the traditional gingerbread cut outs and softer and chewier than ginger snaps. I could not stop eating them. These will be the only ginger cookies I ever make again.

These cookies are so easy and delicious! Followed the recipe exactly, had my brother and sister taste them with me, talked about making some variations (like a drizzle of vanilla icing rather than rolling them in sugar. We all agreed - don't change a thing. Love the hint of salty undertone from using the coarse salt in the dough. Adding these to our permanent Christmas cookie rotation!

This was my first attempt at making any kind of gingersnap style cookie. I followed the recipe exactly as written. It was so easy and they came out wonderful! Very yummy! These are going to be part of my cookie tray for our work Christmas party. Can't wait for the response from everyone! Thank you, Jamie!

OMG, so delicious. I made several cookies for the holidays. From Giada to Paula to good old Tollhouse, and these were the very best. Super easy too!

Fantastic! Chewy and crispy as promised. I love candied ginger and will include some minced next time around. The fragrance was Christmasy and heavenly.

Perfect! I adjusted by subbing in 3/4 cup butter flavor Crisco for the shortening & butter, used less cloves. Didn't have allspice so put in a dab of pumpkin pie spice and a dab of nutmeg. I really dislike molasses, but used it anyway and was very happy with the cookies. Like a chewy gingerbread. Will be a Christmas tradition in my house from now on! (Note: I only ended up getting about 34 cookies out of the recipe.
