5 stars for the recipe - very flavorful.
As for the whiners about how many recipes are posted, 1 star...People, seriously. 1 star ratings because you're angry that you didn't get a freebie? That's like 2 for flinching. Be an adult and rate the recipe for the merits of the flavor, and throw your temper tantrums somewhere else. Jamie Oliver *is* a proven chef. Buy the book, enjoy the food, and if you can't do that...then yes, please leave. You won't be missed.

Hmmm. How come the rest of the FoodTV Team is able to make a living and still share the recipes they demonstrate on TV? The Shortcrust recipe counted for two recipes when it should have only been in the pie recipe. We should have gotten another recipe. This is getting really frustrating - watching recipes without being able to get them.

This recipe looks fabulous and I love how Jamie makes it seem so easy!
As for those of you complaining about the lack of a steak, Guinness, and cheese pie... I can't be the only one who's so old that I remember before there was an internet and the only way you could get recipes was by buying a cookbook.
If you already had the recipe, would you buy the book anyway? Let this talented young man earn a living! His TV show won't last forever but he has to support his family for years to come! He deserves a bit of revenue from book sales!

You can find the recipe for the Steak and Guinness Pie at Epicurious.com--see the link posted by a previous reviewer here. For the Italian Ham, Nettle, and Spinach Tart recipe, look at this blog, which details what Jamie did on the show: http://foodnetworkmusings.blogspot.com/2008/01/hold-on-for-rideits-jamie-oliver.html

Really wanted to try the beef in puff pastry and the beef, Guiness and cheese recipes, but alas, they're not printed. The "sweet" recipes that WERE printed, anyone can make. Recipes are everywhere for these things. Thanks to the viewer who posted the Guiness beef on Epicurious. If anyone managed to catch the beef stew & puff pastry, let us know if you post it somewhere. I won't buy a cookbook out of principle due to the obvious hustle that is the game plan for this show. Nor will I support it anymore. I'm back to PBS on Saturday mornings, at least during this show.

Such a great recipe! Definitely recommend it and it works great with different combinations of fruit.
For those of you using this rating section as your sounding board, please spare us from your complaining and use this site as it was meant to be used...there are many of us who actually appreciate being able to read people's ratings and tips re: various recipes and don't care to hear about your complaints to Food Network.

This is a terrific pie. If you have issues with the network, be intelligent enough NOT to rate a recipe one star.
