This went very well with a spicy curry dish that I made, the sweetness nicely offset the spiciness. I used a mango juice found at Wegman's supermarket.
I think it sounds delicious and I made one and I how certain it is very delicious... I have a mango orchard on Pine Island Florida and our season is great.. I harvested a bushel this morning and have eaten so many I lost count already.. the smell is so wonderful the taste, melt in your mouth. I wish I could share some with you Jamie! This is good eating and so nutritious. All the best,
Libby from Mangos In Paradise Pine Island Forida... I do ship!
Loved this recipe. I had vanilla yogurt on hand added 1 packet of Splenda and 1 tbsp of honey. Will def make this a regular breakfast drink or a dessert treat.
I made it with frozen strawberries instead of mango, add a little less sugar than the recipe, and add a tea spoon of rose water. Just wonderful!!!
I think the smoothie was creamy and fresh.Instead of milk we used almond milk and instead of suger we used honey.
...easy to make, delightful to me - we'll see how it goes down at tomorrow night's curri birthday party dinner. i substituted in almond milk for the milk milk.
    A mango delight!
This was my first time shopping for mango and I learned that they need to be yellow rather than green. Even with the green mangoes, it was still good. My fiance just put extra sugar in it.
I have never heard of "canned mango." In fact, the thought of it sounds terrible!

Made this recipe today with fresh mango and added a bit of vanilla(not typical, but who cares and a few ice cubes. It was delicious.

Mango is on sale this week - 4 for a DOLLAR! I'm going to stock up! Freeze the mango in individual sized baggies so we can have lassis all year long! Yum, yum!
This recipe gives the authentic taste of the mango lassi served in Indian Restraunts. However, I play around with the amount of yogurt, milk and mango pulp for my taste. I like to double the mango pulp amount and add a little more sugar. Tastes best when served chilled with a scoop of vanilla or mango ice cream on top! Yummm !!! :)
I tried it, this is excellent
    i love mangos
added the cardamon. too much of a homey taste- not like the restaurants
    Restaurant Style and Standard.
    This so good.
I tried it several times already and find that the cardamon is what gives it that special taste, also the quality of the mango .
Jamie, what is the best type of canned mango to use?
    Adding cardamon was key.
THis is horible to da max!!!!!!!
This was the best tasting lassi I've had. I freguent many Indian and Pakastani restuarants and have not had a mange lassi this good.

I used lowfat yogurt and canned sweetened mango pulp. I froze the remaining pulp in ziplock bags for future use. Enjoy!
I have a family of 5 so its expensive to go out and eat but cooking things in a theme like this with the foods to go with went over real well and not as expensive as going out. It was a hit with my kids as well.A great way to eat healthy and not sacrifice taste.
This was okay. I had been expecting more, but it just tasted like thick mango juice.
I absolutely love this drink! Great flavor.
i love this mango lassi stuff, it's... adicting, lol. but yeah, it is excellent stuff, i highly recomend it
I love this, but I added some ground cinnamon and a pinch of ground cardamom which are easy to have in the cupboard and give the lassi a really good flavour.
