I'm not partial to nutmeg so I left it out the second time around (trying something different came back to bite me in the ass, really this is how I do my mashed potatoes anyway so it wasn't all that difficult (and the cream instead of milk was nice. I agree with "null" my potatoes took longer to cook, but so what? You didn't specify what potatoes you had used; if you're going to try a recipe you need to take things like that in to consideration!
When making and dish with potatoes I need to add garlic. Sorry but garlic added with mashed potatoes just makes it that much -more-. I cook the garlic cloves with the potatoes and then mash them in... Still enjoyed my meal!

I tried your Mashed potatoes wit Yukon potatoes boiled in milk and heavy cream On your TV show it took you 15 minutes. I t took over 30m minuets andthey still were unable to be mashed . I threw them out. As for your green beans in the oven with shaved Parmesan cheese. They came out greasy and uncooked. Both recipes were a disaster. Yes, I followed your instructions. I also made Emile Lagase's meatloaf with your two recipes. His meatloaf was excellent. Your recipes - what a waste of time. You are now on my s... list as a cook.
