Love the 'get your hands dirty'recipe. Who needs a food processor? The dough Will get a bit 'raggy'before it begins to all pull together.Chef Jamie has some brilliant recipes and I believe we need to try them. I for one, Adore the book this recipe came from as well as Food Revolution. The 'four core' recipes in middle of book are budget friendly And delicious!Chicken and dumplings are A Favourite!

This recipe is delicious and very easy. So easy I made it from memory. For those who don't like this show, don't watch! There are obviously many people like me who love Jamie and his cooking. You can get all of his recipes from his website, and I'd like to say that I've had the same problem with the Barefoot Contessa. Only some of her shows recipes were posted on this website, and I had to go to her website to get the ones I wanted. Ever wonder why the Food Network has CAR advertisements on their website? These are businesses being run. You want to get paid for your hard-work, so why would you expect less from those who run this network that we love and wonderful chefs like Jamie?

HI - I live in New Zealand. We get lots of food network on our SKY network called Food TV.
Not only are most of the shows american - but we have to deal with your weights and measures when we use metric. I have no problem understanding different accents - probably cos we are surrounded by them everyday.
Anyway I would suggest if you are having problems with measures - simply type into google 'what is 2 ounces in grams' or similar. It'll spit the answer out for you straight away.
I find it hard to believe that Jamie uses ingredients that you cant get in the states. All seems like pretty basic foods to me i.e tomatoes, basil, pasta, plus Jamie's philosophy is use what you have and good old home cooking.
Anyway I hope you guys can learn to love some other styles other than american.

    Happy eating. x

What an amazing and innovative chef!!!! lived in England, and they do eat a little differently....I learned to LOVE it. Anything we Yanks consider a bit bland, we can add ourown ideas to the recipes. I really missed Jamie when he wasn't anywhere to be found on TV. Hope he's a permanent fixture.
For those of you who don't understand the accent, don't complain, buy his book and enjoy. Try complaining about something that will change the world....then act on it. Feed the hungry with some of Jamie's super recipes. (can't please all the people all the time, Jamie

I wanted that recipe as well. Steak Guinness and cheese with a puff pastry lid. I came to this site thinking I would find it. I typed in Jamie Oliver, it took me to his website. I clicked on meat dishes and found it. ENJOY!

Love, Love, Love, Jamie's show. If people are upset about not getting all the recipes, tape the damn show and you can watch it over and over again until you understand his English and write down the recipe. What's your problem? people, get with it. Your problem is that everything is too convenient now a days. Tape the show and use a pen and paper.

I thought the crust was great. Don't get rid of Jamie, he is a great chef and I learn alot from him. Yes, it would be nice to get all of the recipes, but that is certainly not a deal breaker when it comes to watching his show. Maybe the
1 star reviewers should try to broaden their horizons.

I agree with some of the previous comments. I logged on to get a recipe that was on TV and found out that only 2 recipes were available and low and behold the one I wanted was not printed. The purpose of these shows I thought was for the viewers benefit to learn cooking. Jamie's show is wasting a space that could be better used. How about putting someone there that is truly interested in the viewers, not to try and sell a book. There are plenty of cookbooks to choose from. Thanks.

I absolutely adore this cooking show! Love love love the use of fresh ingredients, and have never had a problem finding them in the store. I started out with trying the butternut squash and beef stew...AMAZINGLY GREAT, moved on to the pureed butternut squash soup...AMAZING! so good the kids keep asking me to make it agian! It never fails, no matter what recipe i fix it is always a HIT with my family! That in itself is saying something right there! Especially since my kids are 17, 13, 8,& 6! I will DEFINATELY be buying this book as soon as it's published in the USA!
