This is the first pizza crust recipe I have tried, and it will be the last! I used whole wheat bread flour and it turned out PERFECT! I also used pizza stones for the first time, and our rustic pizzas were incredible! Thanks for a great recipe Jamie & Food Network!!

Love the size of this recipe. I make smaller pizzas so this gives me around 12 pizzas. I always save what I don't use in ready to go dough balls and freeze. It takes about 20 min for them to thaw or you can zap them on low if you are careful.

Great recipe. I cut the recipe in half and still had enough for 4 good sized personal pizzas.
Also, I held back about 25% of the flour until kneading (I didn't need all of it.
Thank you Jamie for showing me that I can make fresh and much healthier pizza at home.

Great recipe , made this last weekend and going to make again this weekend. Although I do not need as many pizzas this time. Many of you said you can freeze the dough. How long does it take to thaw and rise again? Your help is most appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Sounds simple and yummy. I was curious though, I'm working on a recipe right now that doesn't have a sauce, will this effect the cooking time or anything that much that I should look out for before trying it out?

Hey Jamie, you changed my life bro. Seriously, I'm 34 and I've never made a meal from scratch in my life. I never thought I could cook. I watched your pizza episode and thought "hell I can do that." My girlfriend came home from work to dough rising and me asking her to taste my homemade sauce, she asked me if she had just walked into the twilight zone! The look on her face when she tasted it...absolutely priceless!!! I owe you brother!

In his cookbook, Jamie always says preheat the oven to "Full Whack" this means literally as high as it goes! I usually put our oven on 500 degrees. 450 is ok, but the crust is always better at 500.
As for when the 'za is done, I have a pizza/baking stone, too, so I'd say your pizza will be done in 12 minutes or so. Just wait until the crust is beginning to brown and the cheese is good and bubbly!

Works ok as a pizza dough. I used it to make a focaccia and it worked much better for that.
