This recipe is a keeper! My husband loved it!!! The only tweak was the sauce - I hate mustard so I omitted that. Oh and the store didn't have Granny Smith; they recommended Sweet Tango instead. I don't have a metal bowl - what's a good substitute? I used foil which did not produce the same results that Jeff got on the show. I love the show!!

I made these without the cheese sauce because I forgot the Velveeta, and I added a thinly sliced jalapeno to the mix. The brats were ugly and grey coming out of the pot, but a few minutes on the grill and they looked almost as good as they tasted. Fantastic recipe for some juicy, delicious brats that will have people asking what you do different.

The apples are such a great addition! I have always cooked my brats in beer and onions, (prior to grilling the apples really make a difference. Thanks!

Delicious! The brats were super juicy and the recipe is so quick and easy to make! I went completely off of what I had watched on the show and didn't need to look at the recipe. Definitely going to remember this one!

Very good easy recipe. Even the cheese sauce was foolproof. The brats are bursting with flavor. Hats off to the Sandwich King and his dad, they made me want to eat this recipe right away!
