We didn't fry the fish because we try to eat healthy, although it looked good. We grilled fish on the bbq. The cole slaw was way too greasy. 1/2 cup of olive oil for a small bowl of cole slaw is way too much, it could have used 4 tbs. The caper tarter sauce was great, we used non fat mayo. We still love Jeff, he's cute. Just try to give us weight watching fatties alternative ing.

I love this recipe! The batter was easy, tasty, and yummy!
My whole family loved it...it was so easy. I did use regular budlight beer instead and it still turn out good.

My husband has high cholesterol so he didn't want to deep fry the fish. He breaded and pan fried the fish and the other modification we made was to decrease the oil in the slaw dressing. The sandwich still tasted great!

Fantastic dinner. Instead of making sandwiches, we made a fish & chips meal with a side of cabbage & fennel slaw.

The tastes were great and incredibly well balanced. We would make a few revisions next next time to take it up one notch further. To make the slaw more like a salad and less like a sandwich condiment, we would reduce the dressing recipe by half - this would make a ligher but equally delicious slaw. And, for the fish batter, I would reduce the flour by ~1/4 - 1/2 cup because out batter was a little thick which led to a less than perfectly crispy coating.

Overall though, I think Jeff's recipes are consistently excellent and very easy to make. Looking forward to the next batch of sandwiches!

Delicious only made the cod substituded 1 bottle of sprite instead of the beer and added a little corn starch to the batter, best cod I ever made without the batter falling off of the fish!

Delicious! My husband and I hoped Jeff would win Next Food Network Star and are so excited to try more of his recipes. Only tweak we made on this one was in the amount of slaw dressing- only used about half of it. The fish batter was awesome and cod was cooked perfectly.
