I made the beer battered fish for dinner last night. The batter recipe was terrific. Incredibly easy. Wonderful flavor. This is the first time ever I got a batter that didn't fall off the fish, was light and not greasy and stayed crisp from first piece of fish on the platter until the last crumbs. I used 1/2 beer-1/2 seltzer to lighten it up a bit, and it worked great. Thank you Jeff for a fabulous meal. Keep giving us recipes like this.

I am one of those people that always read reviews but never leave them. So, this is my absolute first recipe review ever! This recipe was AMAZING! My hubby and I followed the show and we DVR the Sandwich King and watch it together over the weekend. We really like the concept of Jeff's show and he is fun to watch. We saw this episode and made a trip to the grocery store and boy I tell you, all the work is worth it. These were so good! We couldn't find Parker house rolls, so we used potato dinner rolls. The one suggestion I would make would be to build as you eat, meaning, we made 2 sliders each and the first one was fantastic, crunchy and really fresh but when we got to the second one it was a bit soggy from the sauce and slaw, so from now on, I will make one at a time to maintain the crunchy fish.I love, love, love fish and chips and never would have thought to make something like this! Thanks Jeff for giving us all something new!:Cheers!

Very delicious and crispy good. I made the tarter sauce and slaw early so dinner was quick and easy. My batter was a little thick but was still flavorful.

This sandwich was delicious! The slaw was crunchy and unique with the fennel spice and the tarter sauce was tangy and sweet. Super easy- we made the sauce and slaw earlier and then fried the fish a few minutes before dinner. It was amazing how puffy the fish got- was better than any restaurant fish sandwich I ever ate and super easy to make. Thank you!!!

Fell in love with Jeff and his witches on the FNStar. Tried his battered deep fried fish as dinner, no bun, and it was great. It came out just as you promised.
Thanks Jeff

So great watching Jeff do his thing. I am from Chicago, and I love this guy. He's quick witted, funny, talented, and a real Chicagoan...one of the "boys". Isaacson and Stein is an institution. Glad he showcased them! Haven't tried his recipe yet. My first experiment will be the Italian Beef. Glad he won the talent search....such a believable person!
