I grew up in Rockford, Il and made many trips to Chicago. Eating Italian beef sandwiches while there was one of my must-dos. As an Italian-American I can tell you, we had great sandwiches at home but never made quite the same as those I got in Chicago. Thanks Jeff!

Finally someone up to the caliber of Guy and Big Daddy gets his own show and I wouldn't be surprised to see Vic and Susie pop up the way Jeffrey and Kelsey did. This recipe for Pot Roast looks terrific and I love it that Jeff says to go ahead and chunk the meat as few of us have a slicer at home. Will most assuredly make this once the weather cools and I can run my oven for 4hrs in my tiny Manhattan apartment

Congrats on the win from a St. I. alumnus here in Chi-town.
Sounds delicious and looked fabulous on the show. I plan to make using crockpot versus oven after browning. Hope that will work as well.
Don't get the note re: 16 hours inactive however

Couldn't wait for the episode after having watched the season. I knew from the first night of this season that Jeff Mauro would be crowned the winner and the Sandwich King! Watched the show myself first and then with my daughter again immediately after. Ran out to buy the ingredients to make the recipe and the giardiniera! Kudos to Jeff and best wishes for a great food network career! The judges definitely made the right decision!!!!!!!!

One of the things I miss most from back in the day in Chicago is Italian Beef. Can't think of a better way to kick off your show than this recipe. Thank you! Congrat's on winning.

I loved Jeff's new show, and I know he's only going to get better and better! He has such a great personality. The sandwich looks so amazing, and I can't wait to make it! Especially the homemade giardiniera!
