Congratulation, Jeff!!! We just made your Chicago Steakhouse sandwich and it was fantastic. The cooked spinach on the sandwich was innovative and delicious. The blue cheese sauce will also make a great dressing for a salad. Can't wait to make it again. Looking forward to your next show!!!

This looked like a pretty good contribution from the Sandwich King, so I thought I'd try it. I wasn't totally jazzed, but I figured it should be okay. Boy, was I wrong. It was INCREDIBLY good! One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Totally bistro or steakhouse-quality.
The only substitution we made was using ciabatta rather than baguette- but they're quite similar and so long as it's good quality bread I'm sure it doesn't make a difference!
Jeff- More like this, PLEASE!

Absolutely delicious!
I'm not a big blue cheese or buttermilk guy, but I figured I'd give this recipe a shot because it sounded so good, and it was! I found myself even putting more dressing on because it adds so much to the sandwich!
Definitely one of my favorites!

My wife and I made this sandwich a couple hours after the show and I'm glad we did. It was awesome!! My only suggestion is to make sure the bread is nice and soft. Our jaws were tired by the end of the sandwich because our bread was just a little tough, no fault of the recipe though.
We will definitely be eating these again some day!!

This sandwich is an excellent meal!
The interplay of the ingredients provides layers of long-lasting flavors resulting in pure palatal pleasure. We finished eating ~20 minutes ago and the palate party is still in full swing including a full complement of dancers tap dancing on the taste buds.
The crunch through the crust of the French bread creates anticipation and there is a drying effect in preparation for the juices from the rib eye to lay the foundation of pure, hardy, beefy goodness. Just as the involuntary, mono-syllabic grunt is emitted, creaminess from the dressing creates balance accented by Dijon zest, countered by blue cheese tang and a little bit o' spinach bitter. Now that eyes have begun to roll back, the dressing dance floor is taken by the garlic and crushed red pepper. Wow, an excellent sandwich; an excellent meal!
If only we hadn't been out of fresh dill!
Chef Mauro, congratulations on winning Food Network Star Season 7 and thank you for this fantastic recipe!

We were so excited to try this recipe - it was fantastic. The only change is that we used NY Strip Steak versus the T-Bone (more cost effective. The meat was perfect and the spinach/garlic added great flavoring to the sandwhich. While I am not a blue cheese fan - the sauce only called for 2 Tbsp - so you could not even taste it - the sauce was fantastic! It really completed the sandwhich. However, the sauce made A LOT of sauce - we are going to make this next week too - to use up the sauce! Excellent recipe - thanks so much!

I can't wait to make this sandwich for my 14 year old son....who loves a fresh meaty sandwich. I think the best part is the buttermilk bleu dressing! The episode was very, very entertaining and made me want to keep watching and make the sandwich!

I've watched every season of food network star but I haven't been this excited for the show to start since Guy Fieri won. Jeff is an excellent host. I love that he not only shows you how to make the sandwich, but brings you to the butcher to learn about the cut of meat you're working with. LOVE LOVE LOVE the show. Watched the show in the evening and I couldn't wait to get to the store to buy the ingredients. Just finished eating the sandwich and it was AMAZINGLY delicious. My husband is not a fan of blue cheese so I substituted fresh mozzarella on his sandwich. I ate mine as the recipe calls for and I love it. Keep up the good work!! YAY Jeff!!!

Watched Jeff win. So decided to tune into new show after got home from church. Saw Chicago Steakhouse last part, so decided to try. Didn't have ribeye, used sirloin. Didn't have blue cheese, used sour cream. Didn't have garlic chips, but used plenty of garlic powder. For a novice like me this was easy and what a great sandwich--I'll make it again! Jeff has convinced me that even I can make a great sandwich with no cooking skills and substitutions with what we had on hand. Keep it coming!
