    Oh, yeah! Honestly, forming the meatball meat into the shape of the bun (rather than forming tiny meatballs that roll all over the place after you take your first bite is pure genius. Jeff's meatball recipe is very close to my Mom's/Grandma Gracie's recipe, and I like that. I take Jeff's recipe and double the garlic and almost double the pecorino romano cheese. Hey, do yourselves a favor and DO NOT use cheaper parmesan cheese -- use pecorino romano cheese, as Jeff's recipe calls. But double it up ;

    The sandwich is huge, messy and delicious! I'd suggest cutting the sammies in half because you probably won't be able to put them down. Put some extra bowls of giardiniera and marinara on the table because you'll want to keep scooping this stuff onto your sandwich. Great recipe, Jeff!!

    I am a huge sandwich guy . Every meal I try to turn in to some type of sandwich. This recipe made a boring meatball into delicate being. I loved it. Also u have introduced gardienera to my family. Namaste.

    It was the juiciest burger type sandwich I have EVER had! Delicious! The added touch was the marinara dipping sauce with every bite!

    This sandwich was terrific!!! I like this version with the flat pattie much better than the round meatballs. There was no mess. Can't wait to make again.

    I love Jeff Mauro and I love this sandwich. Finally I can make a sandwich at home that is as delicious as the ones I used to go out and buy.
