These are the PERFECT sandwich biscuits... crusty on the outside, fluffy on the inside. They held up to the sandwich components beautifully.

This recipe is AMAZING! The biscuits are beautifully golden brown, with a tasty, slightly crunchy outer crust with the most fluffy, creamy, buttery centers!

These were by far the best buttermilk biscuits I've had, these were sooooo good and the extra dough, I made more biscuits. Will be making again.

you need to substitute the buttermilk with mayo Hellmans at that... when you use mayo it takes the place of butter milk also use cream instead of water. use 1 to 2 tablespoons of mayo instead of the buttermilk.... makes them real fluffy and light...

I grew up making buttermilk biscuits in the south. So when I saw this recipe on the show and it talked about putting everything in the freezer for a bit, I just HAD to try it to see if it makes that much of a difference. It really does! I have a large family. So, I double the recipe and add an extra stick of butter. And yes, baking them in the preheat cast iron makes them even better!

These biscuits are perfect! So easy to make with only a few ingredients that I already had...the only thing I didn't have was a cast iron skillet so I used a pie pan but did everything else according to the recipe and they came out perfect! I made a sausage gravy to pour on top of them and my family loved it! Thanks Jeff, you're the man!

Great recipe! I have made these three times. I followed the recipe except for using cooking spray instead of the oil. Also, after the first time I stopped preheating the skillet because it made the bottom of the biscuits too crispy and hard before the top had a chance to brown. This is now my go to recipe for homemade biscuits! Yum!

This recipe has made it into my recipe box! I have made a lot of different biscuits from recipes I've found in books and online, and after my wife and I saw the show I was very excited to make these. They turned out perfect... lots of flavor (use good butter like the recipe says and very tall thanks to the self-rising flour. This is my go-to recipe for biscuits. Thanks for sharing it with us.
