I made this for my boys that came home from college. They loved it. Didn't think it would taste like a gyro, but it did! I bought the naan and would love to find a recipe to make my own at home that taste as good and is the same texture. I thought the tomato paste gave it good depth and sweetness. I added more garlic because my family loves garlic. Will most definitely make again. If anyone has a Naan bread recipe that works for them let me know!
Good job Jeff!

My husband and I love Greek food. We thought this would be a great substitute for an gyro, but...we did not care for the tomato paste and red wine that was part of the meat mixture. We also did not care for the tzatziki sauce, fortunately I had some fresh dill and olive oil to add in, but there was not much I could do about the feta since it was already mixed in, we like feta, we felt it just did not work for this tzatziki sauce. I will try this again as the taste of the meat without the tomato paste to adjust seasoning was good and I will leave out the feta in the sauce.

Jeff: my husband and I watched The Next Food Network Star from the beginning and we always loved you! And after trying this recipe...they made the ABSOLUTE CORRECT choice! We have been on a greek kick lately eating at a small greek chain often. If everyone tries this recipe, this place will go out of business! SIMPLY AMAZING!!!! Thank you!!

My husband and I loved this recipe. I was so pleased that I had my friend come over the next day to try the left overs and they were just as great as the day before. Even with large portions there were a ton of leftovers but nothing went to waste because they were so tasty. I had trouble finding lamb and pitas because two stores were sold out! The Naan worked perfectly! Can't wait for this weeks episode!
